CHECKING IT

TWICE!

Saturday, 14 April 2012

Okay, so you're probably wondering just what I'm checking, twice.

Well, it's my

grocery list! Oh yes, I'm

one of those people who makes a list of the things

I'll buy before heading to the grocery store. And you

know what? I

stick to that list. I'm not one of those

victims of the "impulse buy."

Last Monday in my Clubhouse

chat, we talked about making shopping lists for all of

the healthy foods we should pick up the next time

we're at the supermarket.

You know what I'm talking about. And, believe me,

those supermarkets are out to tempt you into making

one of those impulse buys. For instance, they put up

a big display of some new breakfast cereal and they've

arranged it so pretty. The colors on the box just

jump out at you and oh, the price. It's on

sale. Hey,

put that box down! It wasn't one of the items on

your list. Was

it?

Last Monday night in my Clubhouse chat, we

talked about making shopping lists for all of the

healthy foods we should pick up the next time we're at

the supermarket. And even though I put the emphasis

on healthy foods, I also

asked my members if they would eat those healthy foods

in the right-size

portions. See,

even when we eat too

much of

the foods that are good for us, we can still end up

gaining weight. I want you to remember that when you

bring those healthier foods into your homes.

We talked about some of the healthy foods everybody

should have in their kitchens. Here are some of the

healthy foods my Clubhouse members said they bring

home from the supermarket. Blueberries, spinach,

various kinds of beans, chicken, whole wheat pasta and

ground turkey. (One of my favorites so I can make my

tasty turkey burgers). But wait, I'm not finished.

Apples and even apple sauce made their lists, along

with bananas, oranges and other fruits. I'd suggest

you add tuna, cherry tomatoes and oatmeal to your

list, too. (I do.)

Unless you learn how, what

and how

much to

eat, when it comes to losing weight, you're setting

yourself up for defeat.

But whatever healthy foods you add to your list,

remember what I said about portion sizes. Unless you

learn how,

what and how much

to eat, when it comes to losing weight, you're

setting yourself up for defeat. My FoodMover is the perfect

tool to help you control those portion sizes and make

the right choices when you head for the supermarket

with your list in hand!

Today is Saturday. Many of you may be headed for the

supermarket this afternoon. Okay, got your lists in

hand? Well, check

it twice and

stick to bringing the healthiest of foods into you

home for you and your families!

Love,
