IT'S AARP DAY!

Saturday, 24 September 2011

Well, I won't be teaching my usual class at

Slimmons today. And, as you might imagine, I'm

really gonna miss it. But wait, I've got something

equally exciting going on. I'll be making a big

appearance for theAARP. You all know who

they are, don't you? I'm talking about the American

Association of Retired Persons.

The AARP leads the way in educating seniors

on how to make their golden years the best years of

their lives.

The AARP leads the way in educating seniors on how

to make their golden years the best years of their

lives. I, myself, have been an AARP member for

years and proudly carry my membership card in my

wallet.

This year, the AARP has invited me to be part of

their big national convention being held this

week in Los Angeles. I'm really excited to be

joining them. A few years ago, I had the honor of

teaching a huge exercise class at their convention

when it was held in Boston. I remember just like it

was yesterday.

I'd gone to teach my class in this big room

the hotel had set up for us but...there was a

problem. So many people had gathered to take my

class that the room was way too small. So they had

to extend the room to make room for

everybody to sweat with me. And sweat...we

did! Oh,

let me tell you, they really were a wild bunch,

too! They were sassy and so full of energy.

This morning at 7:30, I'll be teaching a

big sweatin' class.

At this year's convention, they have a little more

planned for me to do and I'm all ready! This

morning at 7:30, I'll be teaching a big sweatin'

class and you know I'm going to be playing some

really hot music! I'll have them dancing to Lady

Gaga, a little Katy

, some LMFAO,

the Black

Eyed Peas and Gloria

Estefan. (I've been a fan of Gloria's for

years.) Oh, are we ever gonnarock!

Later that morning, I'll get more serious as one of

the keynote speakers for the afternoon. I'm really

looking forward to addressing the group. There's so

much I want to say. See, so many seniors in the

United States don't take good care of themselves

like they should. I want to help change that. They

say people who make lots of plans for their lives

are the ones who live the longest. Add a little

mission to your life and, even if you're not a

senior yet, get started creating that mission plan

for your life so youcan

live longer.

It's so important to stay active, both mentally and

physically. It's crucial that you surround yourself

with people who share your interests. Socialize

with them, do things together and...have fun!

Believe me, it'll help you stay young.

When you're a senior, it's more important

than ever to eat healthy and make exercise a

dedicated part of your life.

When you're a senior, it's more important

than ever to eat healthy and make exercise a

dedicated part of your life. It's a winning

combination that'll help ensure your longevity.

At this AARP Convention, they'll cover

everything the well-informed senior needs to know.

And I'll be adding these tips of my own to

everything the convention has to offer.

And you can bet, I'll be dressing up for the

occasion. Oh yes, I will! I'm taking two different

outfits with me today. One outfit to sweat in and

one to deliver my keynote address in. Just wait

'til they see me in my gold lamee outfit. I'm

gonna wow 'em!

I'm so proud to be a senior!

May I tell you something? I'm so proud to be a

senior. And...I'm

proud of the way I take good care of my body, too.

Hey, when you're hot...you should flaunt it. And I

plan to be flaunting it for years to come.

I just know I'll leave today's convention a

smarter man. That's because everyday, we can learn

something that will help us stay on the path

to better health. Hmmm, I wonder how many seniors

I'll get to kiss today?

I love you a bushel and a peck and hug around

your neck!

Love,
