Guest guest
THE LONG JOURNEY HOME Saturday, 05 March 2011 Hi everybody, have you missed me? Well, guess what? I'll be leaving Auckland tonight at midnight. And then I'll be getting home late Saturday afternoon. No, I'm not flying the Space Shuttle back home. LOL. See, there's just a big time difference between Auckland and Los Angeles. See, we'll cross the International Date Line and it's almost like flying back into time! You pick up almost a whole day. It's kinda like that whole Back To The Future thing. LOL. On my last day here, I'll be doing lots of press, everything from TV & radio shows to local newspaper. And the highlight of my day is that I'll teach a big exercise class at the largest health club in Auckland. Now at first, this was going to be an event open only to employees of Air New Zealand. But in light of the tragic earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand two weeks ago, we're turning the class into a big fundraising event. All the proceeds will go toward helping the many citizens of Christchurch affected by the quake. Now my class will be even more special! I wasn't sure what kind of music they liked "down under" so I checked the New Zealand Billboard charts. And do you know what I discovered? They like the same kinds of music we like back in the states. That's all I needed to know so...I'm all set! I've put together a sexy hour of sweatin' for my New Zealand friends. I'm starting out with Lady Gaga's Born This Way. We'll also sweat to Raise Your Glass by Pink. I've got Britney Spear's new song, Hold It Against Me and I'll include Firework by . I'll throw in one of Usher's hits and we'll cool down with a slow number by Bruno Mars called Just The Way You Are. Oh, this is gona be so much fun! And oh yeah, I'll be bringing a few "props" along with me, too. You know, a few things to wear on my head, some fun accessories that will make everyone smile and laugh. (Hope you're ready, Auckland! LOL.) After class, my new friends from Air New Zealand are taking me on a little tour of the area before driving me back to the airport. I'll board that jumbo Air New Zealand flight and it's off to Los Angeles. It's a 12-hour flight by the way...wow! But 12 hours later, I'll be looking once again at that southern California sun. I've had a wonderful time here and the people of New Zealand have really made me feel at home. But as you know, there's no place like your own home-sweet-home. (Just ask Dorothy. LOL.) I'll be so excited to see and my sweet Hattie. And after I shower them with hugs and kisses, the next stop will me my office so I can get back to answering even more E-mail. I admitted to you before I left L.A. that I was a little nervous about this long trip. The only time I leave home for this length of time is when I do my Cruise To Lose. And I'm not going to lie to you, I cried every night I was away because I was so homesick. (Hey, you know I'm an emotional kind of guy.) I'm a Cancer, too and we're true homebodies. But I'm so happy to have made this trip. It was a grreat experience for me. And by the way, if you ever want to take a nice vacation, New Zealand is a beautiful country. (Pssst, fly Air New Zealand!) So do you have a nice day planned for yourself on this Saturday? I've shared my busy schedule for today with you. Have you planned your day? Now please, don't forget to stay on program and get your workouts in. I know I will. And don't forget to make a little time to so something extra special today...just for you! This time difference thing is really weird. Even though I'm leaving late on a Saturday night, I'll actually get back home today, (U.S. time), and I'll talk to you from Los Angeles...tomorrow!
