THE "EX" FACTOR

Tuesday, 27 March 2012

So, how are you feeling since your "Ex" is no

longer with you? Oh, you spent all of those years

together and your life is so different now, isn't it?

Go on and admit it, no one ever made you feel

like...your "Ex."

That "Ex" of yours was just too

demanding.

But after all of those years with your partner, your

mind was made up. You'd be better off, taking control

of the relationship. That "Ex" of yours was just too

demanding. You were losing so many of your

friends because the "Ex" demanded so much of your

time. Oh sure, the two of you will always be friends

and yes, (as you will see), that's a good thing. But

you finally realized, if you were going to have a

happy life, a healthy life, then you no longer needed

the "Ex" trying to run your

life.

Does you "Ex" have a name? Come on, tell everybody

who it is. Whether you're a guy or a girl, your

"Ex's" first name begins with the letter "F." Oh

no, that name is not and, if you're a guy, her

name is not Felicia, either. It's FOOD!

Ahhhh yes, food! Remember how it used to be? Time

was, when you were sad about something, food was

always there to make you feel better. When you were

happy, who'd you call first to celebrate with you? It

was food! When you were nervous about getting that

new job, food was with you all day as you waited for

that phone call to see if the job was yours.

And let's not even talk about the holidays and family

reunions. The 4th of July and Labor Day? Oh the

barbecues and picnics, the burgers and potato salad.

Thanksgiving and Christmas? Time for the casseroles

and pecan pies. Vacations? Hey, it wasn't really a

vacation unless food joined you on the trip, right?

So, how close were you to

the "Ex?" 20 pounds closer? 50 pounds?

Well, guess what? All of those years with your good

friend, food, brought something else into your life,

didn't it? That's right, more pounds! So, how close

were you to the "Ex?" 20 pounds closer? 50 pounds?

Are you 100 or more pounds overweight because food

became the center, the

focus of

your life? See what your "Ex" has cost you the many

years you've allowed it to rule your life?

But the good news is that you're working hard now to

turn your life around. You've taken control back from

food and you've made exercise an everyday part of your

life. And you know what else? You're losing weight,

you're looking good and you're feeling better since

taking control from the "Ex!"

Now don't be sad. Your "Ex" will always be

there. Food will always be part of your life. But if

you're going to have a longer and a healthier life,

then you're going to have to be the boss and stop

giving food so much control.

Listen, your "Ex" can take your life either way. If

you don't control the food, it can truly become a

villain, take control of your life and even rob you of

your health. But remember, food can also and should beyour

friend. That is, when you eat the right kinds of

foods and in the right size portions. It really is

that simple.

What role will food play in

your life from now on?

So what role will food play in your life from now on?

You don't want to give your "Ex" the kind of control

it once had or may still have over your life. Oh yes,

the food will always be there but will it be your

friend or foe?

Now there's an "Ex-Factor" you really

need to think about!

Love,
