Guest guest
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE Thursday, 26 May 2011 This week, we had what I would call a very instructive Chat in my Clubhouse. By the way, when you become a member of my Clubhouse, you get to attend the weekly Chats we have every Monday night, live...with me! (Oh, I just love them!) If you're not a Clubhouse member and need daily dozes of motivation, you should seriously consider joining. Then you can join those Monday night conversations right along with us. In last Monday night's Chat, I asked all of my Clubhouse members to give me the best piece of advice they'd ever received. Now, I want to share with you some of the good advice they shared with me. I want you to know what they had to say because, I'm telling you, I walked away from that chat having learned a lot myself. The best piece of advice Annette says she ever received was this: Don't put down others, don't criticize others, always praise them. Hey, I say AMEN to that! See, it's always best to lead with kindness and compliments. That way, you'll never go wrong. Ann Marie shared this piece of advice given to her years ago: Take care of and respect your elders. Yep, thanks to my own mom and dad's advice, I grew up on that one. The seniors who walk this Earth have played a very important role in shaping the world we live in today. We should always put them on a pedestal and make them feel truly fantastic because...they are! And don't forget, all you have to do is keep living and, someday, you'll be one of those elders yourself. Phyllis received these wise words of advice from one of her teachers: Work hard and you can be anything you want to be. And that's so true, isn't it? In fact, I worked very hard all of my life and that's how I got to be who I am today...whoever that is! LOL. 's mom once told her: If you don't stand for something then you'll probably fall for anything. Truly good advice there. I mean, it's good to stand for something, especially for the things you believe in. Taking a stand on something you truly believe in builds character and, let's face it, we're all a "bunch of characters". LOL. And oh yes, standing up for something does help you not fall for the more foolish things in life. And this one is so cute from Bonnie: The best vitamin for making friends is...B1! Get it? There's another truth and a great piece of advice. If you want to make more good friends in life, it's important to B1, that is BE ONE good friend to others. And I want to end with this piece of advice from that came from her grandmother: Rather than having a pity-party, and bemoaning my problems, I will find someone else dealing with a problem and help them get over theirs. That really makes good sense, doesn't it? As a matter of fact, the advice all of my Clubhouse members shared on Monday night really made a lot of good sense. And by the way, don't forget the good advice I constantly give you. That is, always eat healthy, watch your portions and move that body of yours...every single day. And along with that advice, I want you to always know...YOU ARE WORTH IT! Love,
