Survived the week!

I have one more shift at the fair, tomorrow from 4-8 p.m. Am sure I will get invited back again next year and am sure I would love to do it, but may need to scale back my hours. This year, it's just zapping me. I don't know if it was the extreme heat we had the first week or so, or just that I am a year older or what. I know it doesn't help that my weight is up this year, but still.

I was concerned about gaining weight this week out at the fair because I have been hungrier with all the standing, walking around and travel to/from my car so I have added a couple of snacks, but right now I am sitting pretty "ok" on the weight-front.

DS18 got his first "real" job! I am so excited and happy for him. He's had a couple of volunteer and community service type gigs, but this is his first paying job out at the university. It's part of his financial aid package "work study" but he's working at one of the residence halls as an office assistant type person for 3 hours on Saturday mornings.

Seems to be enjoying his classes (taking French this year, vs Latin in his high school years) and an astronomy class, history type class, ethics, think that's about it... he's pulling 17 credits this semester.

Hope you are all doing ok this past week and I will check in as I can over the week and on the weekend again.

I am sure that all the extra exercise will off-set any extra snacking. I don't

know that I could have undertaken such a project! WOW!

The heat will really drain you - this from a true Southern belle! It's why we

move so slow!! LOL I refuse to accept that it has anything to do with age!
