Guest guest Posted September 1, 2011 Report Share Posted September 1, 2011 Well, today I start over! It's amazing how it takes weeks to develop good habits and only days to fall back into bad ones. August was not a good month at all! My grandfather passed away a few weeks ago and it has been really hard on me. This is the man that raised me and taught me everything from football to cars, driving to gardening. He lived a long, happy life (93 years)and he was ready to go but the selfish part of me wants him back. Between the mad rush to get there, the lack of control or concern over food during the days at the hospital and then funeral, and then just the grieving when I got home, I have completely undone all the good habits I had worked toward. I have gained almost 17 pounds in the last month! While some of this is water weight beause of the salt and processed food, I can hardly claim it all as water. So, I am back today. Recommitting to my health. My goals for today are pretty simple: Eat three meals Drink 8 glasses of water Take all meds Shower and dress (this one I struggle with when depressed) Trying to regroup....... 352/346/298 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
