[One Small Bowl] Getting There

Yesterday's Meals: 8am bowl: 2 sunny side up eggs, bacon,1 coffee with cream [This was tasty and the bacon was perfectly crisp. I did not get a chance to eat it mindfully, my husband called and I didn't want it to get cold while we talked] 12pm bowl: shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green onion, mayo, teriyaki burger [Very good, I love the contrast of cold lettuce and a hot burger. Still in a rush of getting many things done today, other than noting the taste and temperature, did not eat 100% mindfully] 5pm bowl: roasted pork, bell pepper, onion, mushroom, carrot [i put the pork chop & veggies in the iron skillet and baked it. Wow, I LOVED the flavours! I saved most of the pork chop for my husband's lunch tomorrow, but I did finish up the veggies, they were so tasty and I scooped up some of the extra fat and drizzled it on top. I think I was saying " mmmmm " with every bite! A very mindful moment.] 9pm bowl: 2 slices cotto salami, a few thin slices of Dubliner cheese, coffee with cream [i was hungry again at this point. Again, a sort of nauseated type of hunger. I made a cup of coffee and cut up the salami and made mini sandwiches with the meat and cheese. It did not really taste all that great, I instantly wished I had chosen something else, perhaps the cream in the coffee would have been enough, or even a soft cooked egg might have hit the spot. I was mindful of the eating, wasn't pleased] Throughout the day: lemon water with blueberry herbal tea infusion BG was 98! Yay! I was determined not only to get a lot done around the house, but to eat less than 5 bowls a day. I won't make it a rule, but I think 5 and 6 bowls is keeping me from losing weight. I ate so much less on the truck, I feel like I need to get back to that again. I would like to test 3-4 bowls for a few days. It will help when my husband is home, I am usually distracted and not thinking as much about food. I got everything I wanted to get done finished and everything looked really clean and sparkly, it improved my mood tremendously. Order and cleanliness always gives me a sense of calmness. While grocery shopping, I bought some niacin and a green tea extract with chromium and acai berry. I am up to 5 supplements: multivitamin, niacin, the herbal tea, another herbal for night sweats and a vitamin c. I am not happy about taking 5 pills every day, so I will get through these and see how I feel. --
