MY FAVORITE PORT!

Thursday, 27 October 2011

I've been sailing to Puerto Vallarta for

decades now and it's my favorite place to visit on

my cruises. It's such a pretty coastal city. Many

of the shops and houses are painted in amazingly

bright colors. The city is also very lush with lots

of trees , tropical plants and flowers. Many of the

locals here know me because I've visited their city

so many times. So when I step into some of the

shops, I'll hear, Hey,

's back! (In Spanish, of course.)

I'm an avid art collector and one of my

favorite artists in the world has set up shop here

in Puerto Vallarta.

Now you may not know that I'm an avid art

collector. And one of my favorite artists in the

world has set up shop here. I'm talking about

Bustamante. He has three galleries in Puerto

Vallarta and I always make sure to visit each one of

them. is a sculptor and also does the most

fascinating jewelry pieces. My house is filled with

his work.

The food here is pretty incredible, too. I just

love the Mexican-style home cooking at some of the

local restaurants. And I just love Mexican food,

too. Hey, just put a bowl of guacamole in front of

me and I'll follow you anywhere! LOL.

Our big Sweatin' class

will be held at 7:30 this morning. I love working

out in the morning but some of my cruisers come in

looking a little sleepy. But hey, I know my music

and those moves of ours are gonna wake them right

up! And what's my musical theme for today? It's

gonna be more Broadway show tunes. Everybody really

loved them before so I'm bringing them some more!

Today we're honoringUniversal Studios.

Today we're honoring Universal

Studios. Universal was always big on monster

and scary movies. They gave us enstein,

Dracula, The Wolfman, The Invisible Man and...Jaws!

(The movie that scared so many Americans away from

the beach back in 1975! LOL.) Universal also

released one of my favorite movies of all time, Schindeler's

List.

We dock in Puerto Vallarta at 9:00 this morning

and...I'll be one of the first passengers to leave

the ship. (Hey, I've got a lot of ground to cover

today!) I'll spend a little time walking around and

seeing this beautiful city. And, of course, I've

got to get my Bustamante stops in.

Puerto Vallarta has this long wall that runs a big

length of the beach. I love sitting on that wall to

admire the view and the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

While I'm sitting there, lots of times, people will

come over and say hello to me. I invite them to

have a seat and we end up taking photos together.

We return to the ship and have dinner at 6:00. By

the way, the food has been very good on our cruise

and I've been eating very healthy. And you know,

when you eat healthy...you feel healthy and I

certainly do feel healthy

this week. Plus, some of my Cruisers have told me

they already feel a positive difference in their

bodies and minds this

week. Now that's what I like to hear!

After dinner, we're having a seminar called Cookin'

With .

After dinner, we're having a seminar called Cookin'

With . (Hey, that's me!) I've

created five new recipes for this seminar and will

present them tonight. Michele, my assistant back in

Los Angeles, took Flip video of me preparing each

recipe in my own kitchen, and Darlene has edited

them for tonight's presentation. Of course, keeping

with our Hollywood theme, each recipe has been named

after a different Hollywood movie. How about All That

Jazz Chicken Rolatini. Or Chinatown

Nutty Noodles. All of my recipes are low in

fat and calories. I've also made each of them

several times at home to make sure they're all perfect.

I hope everyone will try these delicious recipes

with their families when they return hime.

Remember, the family that eats healthy together

stays healthy together.

Well, Puerto Vallarta is our last stop and after

tonight, our ship sets sail for Los Angeles. But we

have two more full days at sea. So we still have a

lotta work to get done. I miss

you all!

Love,
