THE FINE PRINT

Monday, 17 October 2011

Have you ever noticed that when you see a

commercial on TV promising quick weight- loss,

there's always a little fine

print at

the bottom of the screen. And if it's a magazine or

newspaper ad for the latest weight-loss fad, there

it is again...that very fine print.

When it comes to reading the fine print in

ads for some weight-loss products, you need a magnifying

glass!

I'm 63 years-old now so I have to wear reading

glasses. I wear them when I read the newspaper and

while reading and answering my e-mail. But when it

comes to the fine print in some of the ads for those

weight-loss products, a magnifying

glass is

more what I need! LOL. But okay, let me save you

the trouble, (not to mention your vision), by

telling you what those teeny little words in fine

print are saying:

This product works if the user follows a

calorie-reduced food plan that includes a regular

exercise program.

Whoa! Put

the brakes on right there. Just who are they

kidding? Those companies know and I've been telling

you for decades, any sensible weight-loss program must be

based on reducing calorie consumption and making

exercise a dedicated part of your life. Hey, I was

telling you that when I began my career nearly 40

years ago and I still feel that way today. Why? Because

it's a fact!

Who needs those diet pills or weight-loss

shakes?

Don't these big companies realize, with their fine

print disclaimers, they're telling you right up

front that you

really don't need their gimmicky product to lose

weight? Who needs the pills? Who needs the

shakes? Who needs the powder you sprinkle on your

food that claims to "neutralize the calories" in the

foods you eat. (Wink,

wink!) And who needs the silly piece of

exercise equipment that costs a coupla hundred bucks

and you only have to use twice a week, just ten

minutes at a time. (Or so they claim.) And oh

yeah, they show these really sculptured models using

the equipment. And, by using their

piece of equipment twice a week, you're going to end

up looking just

like those models. When you know those

models got their bodies from going to the gym

everyday and probably even had personal trainers to

boot! Oh, what a joke these claims are. But, truth

is, they're really not funny!

Companies make billions of dollars selling

their dubious products to gullible people who fall

for their claims.

These companies make billions of dollars selling

their dubious products to gullible people who fall

for their claims. Don't

you be one of them! You know what it takes

to lose weight. These companies even tell you how

in their fine print.

You've got to eat less. You've got to

vigorously exercise daily. And you've got to keep

a positive I can do it attitude as

you work hard proving to yourself that you really

can lose the weight.

So save your hard-earned money. All you

really need to do is read the fine print to see how

you can have a fit and...FINE body!

Love,
