MEET ME IN THE SPECTACULAR LOUNGE!

Monday, 24 October 2011

I woke up this morning with so much energy

I didn't know what to do with it all. In fact, I

think I'll bottle some of it to sell later in the

ship's little shopping center. LOL. But first, I'm

gonna spend some of this energy in our very first Rise

& Shine mini-workout.

We're all up early this morning to get our day

started. We'll get in our wake-up workout then go

over our itinerary for the day.

In this morning's Rise

& Shine class, I'm playing two great

songs to get everybody going.

In this morning's Rise

& Shine class, I'm

playing two great songs to get everybody going, Super

Bass and San

Francisco. Today's featured Hollywood studio

is United

Artists. This studio was formed by silent

movie stars including Charlie Chaplin, Pickford

and Fairbanks. Some of the movies they

brought to us were Some

Like It Hot, The Graduate, Rocky and the

Bond movie

series.

After we review our day, we'll head for the Gold

Pearl Restaurant for our

morning breakfast. Carnival makes the most

delicious Egg Beater omelette and I really like

their oatmeal, too. After breakfast, we're going to

play a little game called Exercise

Charades. Let

me tell you how we'll play it.

On the stage, we'll have a bowl filled with little

pieces of paper. On each piece of paper will be

printed the name of a cardio or stretching exercise

movement. And like with regular charades, which

ever movement someone draws from the bowl, they'll

have to demonstrate how it's done and get everyone

to guess what it is. As each of the movements are

acted out, I'll talk about form and the

right way to

do that movement. For those Cruisers who may have

special physical challenges, I'll demonstrate how to

adapt the movement for their

special needs. And for a little added fun, some of

those pieces of paper in our bowl will contain the

name of a well-known movie. If you pull one of the

titles, then you'll have to act out the name of the

movie. This is gonna be fun!

In today's Sweatin' class, we'll be working

out to all Broadway show tunes. Whew...are

we ever gonna sweat

our way down Broadway!

Everyone will learn more about the right way to do

all of the movements. And they'll be able to

perform those movements correctly in our sweatin'

classes and when they

return home.

After our game of charades, we'll break for

lunch and later that afternoon, here comes our first

big exercise class together. In today's Sweatin'

class we'll be working out to all Broadway show

tunes. Whew...are we ever gonna sweat

our way down Broadway!

Tonight, we'll all get gorgeous for our first formal

night at dinner in the Gold Pearl Restaurant. Oh, I

just love these formal nights because I love seeing

everyone looking so fabulous in their great

outfits...even after all of that sweatin' we did

earlier this afternoon! LOL. Tonight, I'll be

taking individual photos with everyone for them to

take home and remember this special week with.

(These photos will remind them of how beautiful and

handsome they all are, too.)

It's going to be a long day and a busy one,

too!

Yep, it's going to be a long day and, just like all

of our days at sea, it's going to be a busy one,

too. After dinner and pictures, I'll head back to

my cabin, go out on the balcony and gaze at the

stars before saying my prayers and getting a good

night's sleep.

I hope you're eating well and exercising every day

this week, just like we're doing on our Cruise

To Lose. Don't forget to say your prayers

before turning in for bed tonight!

Love,
