Guest guest
THE LAST DANCE Saturday, 29 October 2011 If I begin to cry while writing this message, let me tell you why. This is the final day of our Cruise To Lose and so, the final day with all of my Cruisers. We've spent a whole week together and I've grown to love them all so intimately. It's like they've become part of my family. Oh, the fun we've had. But we're gonna make sure we have the most fun of all on this, our last day together. Our cruise has been filled with so much fun and laughter, I think I've actually laughed a few pounds off. In fact, our cruise has been filled with so much fun and laughter, I think I've actually laughed a few pounds off. LOL. (Hey, there goes another couple of ounces!) Like every morning this week, we'll get up early and head to the Spectacular Lounge for our Rise & Shine class. This morning, my featured songs will be Keep Going Louder and Throw Hands Up. This will be our last Rise & Shine together so I'd better bring my Kleenex! Our final studio to honor is RKO. once ran this studio and, if I may be so blunt, made kind of a mess of things at RKO. But still, this studio gave us lots of memorable movies. I'm sure you'll recognize these titles. It's a Wonderful Life, Citizen Kane, and, I think, the greatest monster movie of all time, King Kong! (I'm talking the black & white original version, not the recent remake with Jack Black.) And oh yeah, RKO produced another one of my favorite movie series starring Fred Astaire and Ginger . (People always tell me my father looked like Fred Astaire. Maybe that's why I liked his movies so much.) During our last big Sweatin' class together, I'll be playing a selection of music hits from some of the more recent Hollywood movies. Talk abouthot, hot, hot! After Rise & Shine, we'll go to the dining room, have breakfast and later, we'll have our last big Sweatin' class together. This time, I'll be playing a selection of music hits from some of the more recent Hollywood movies. Talk about hot, hot, hot! These are some of the songs I play for my classes back home at Slimmons and everybody always loves them. All week long, I've been signing T-shirts, DVDs, FoodMovers, towels and anything else my Cruisers wanted me to sign. Oh, my little left hand is just about sore. (Here, would you rub it for me a little?) Earlier this week, I asked everyone to keep an eye on our group and nominate two people among our Cruisers they found to be the most fascinating. At 1:30 this afternoon, we'll meet in the El Morocco Lounge and I'll call up on stage some of those fascinating people. Following a break, we'll head back to the Gold Pearl restaurant for our own version of "The Last Supper." (I probably won't have much of an appetite. Hey, it's hard to eat when you're crying the whole time.) Tonight's Dicky Awards will gives us a chance to honor those Cruisers who've really stood out and inspired us all this week. After dinner, we'll get together for The Dicky Awards, which will also serve as our farewell party. (Sniff!) Everyone has done an outstanding job this week but The Dickys gives us a chance to honor those Cruisers who've stood out this week and really inspired us all. It truly makes my heart sing seeing how close everyone has gotten this week. They've all bonded and become the best of friends and that's one of the most important things that happens on the Cruise To Lose. At the Farewell Party, we'll take those last photos of each other together, trade phone numbers, e-mail addresses and make sure we all stay in touch. Those phone calls and e-mails help keep us together and...motivated! Once we say good night, I'll head back to my cabin to finish packing because tomorrow morning, we disembark the ship and all head for home. Oh, when I close my eyes tonight, I will see Hattie's face. See, Hattie? I told you I'd be back. Love,
