[One Small Bowl] Been Down with a Cold or Something

From April 5th: 7am bowl: scrambled eggs 11am bowl: chicken curry 1pm: handful of cookies 2pm bowl: coconut cream & cocoa/butter/coconut oil 8pm bowl: egg foo yong 10pm bowl: ground pork, spinach, tomatoes and cheese Liquids: 1 coffee and cream 2 liters of diet pepsi 2 hot buttered rums 1 cream and rum, started another, did not finish When I got up this morning, I had a sneezing fit. My eyes were itchy and I sensed a cold was coming on. I had a 10am eye exam appt and went for that, but found that I had very little energy. The cold was coming on strong. It's so irritating how expensive glasses are anymore. I wanted one pair of glasses to do everything. I am tired of switching between 3 pair I have now, my regular, the ones with bi-focal, the prescription sunglasses and a pair of readers for detail work when I sew. The opt suggested getting the bifocals without the line, so that I had more levels of seeing distance and I wanted the transition lenses because I am getting very sensitive to light. They will hopefully arrive by the time I leave, if not, they will have to send them to Hawaii. That would be the pits, if the there is anything wrong with the glasses. I haven't had much of an appetite today. I made a simple egg foo yong with bean sprouts and eggs. 3 eggs and sprouts made 2 servings, I saved it for tomorrow. I made another skillet dish with sausage, tomatoes and the last of the bell peppers and threw in 3 handfuls of fresh spinach. I admired the colours. It amazing that the simple dishes with just a few ingredients seem more appealing to me. That is for the next couple of days, I still am eating only 1 bowl at a time without refills. My BG was 102 this morning, my hands are puffy, my face is puffy and I can tell that I need to drink more fluids (not soda pop). I made a fresh batch of lemonade. I don't like it sweet, so to a whole gallon of water, I add two cut up lemons, one packet of stevia and 2 peppermint tea bags. This is such a refreshing light lemon drink. I will attempt to drink as much of it as I can tomorrow, as I need to get the apartment cleaned up and can stay home with all that liquid! lol. I have scheduled to go through all of my clothes on Wednesday, I need to try them all on and make decisions. From April 6th: BG was 113 this morning. I am not feeling well at all. I am very puffy and I will be drinking lots of fluids today. I am hoping that at some point today I can get up the energy to clean up the apartment. 6am coffee and cream 8am bowl - bean sprout omelet 11am bowl - mackerel, tomato and sour cream 12 pm bowl - coconut oil, butter and cocoa 1/2 gallon lemon water throughout the day 2pm bowl - chicken curry 5pm bowl: Portuguese sausage, meatball, spinach, peppers 8pm bowl: ground pork, spinach, tomatoes and cheese 9pm: 2 rum and cream drinks 8am’s meal 5pm’s meal.8pm’s meal I felt better by evening. I was not as hungry as it appears with the 6 bowls of food feast, I was just trying to prevent myself from going to the grocery store, the urge to binge was creeping over me. I tried to stay focused on the low carb foods I had at hand and eventually I squelched the desire. I rested most of the day, knitting and periodically cleaning the apartment. --
