ACCEPT

WHO..."U" "R"

Thursday, 02 June 2011

Oh, I

always wanted to be a tall, six-foot three guy with

straight brown hair. But hey, that was only a dream of

mine. Truth is, I was born the way I am. I know, lots

of people have a problem accepting the person they see

when they look into the mirror. And oh, I'm telling

you, no one seems to be satisfied with the way they look

these days. And really, why not? I say it's good to

accept who you are. Because the bottom line is that

you're not going to get another...YOU. LOL.

Yes,

we have to accept our height and some of the other

physical attributes that were given to us when we were

born. And let's face it, there are some things about

ourselves we simply cannot change. But wait, there is

one thing about your physical body that you can

change. And, oh yeah, you saw this coming...you can

change your weight!

Oh, you don't know how many people I've talked to over

the years who say things to me like, ", I

just can't lose this weight. I'll always be this

way. This is the way God wanted me to be and...I just

have to accept it."

(Sigh.) I listen oh-so patiently when people

begin saying things like that to me. But as I listen to

their every word, I'm standing there in total

disagreement. You see, over the years, I've seen some

amazing transformations in a lot of people's

appearances. I've seen so many of them lose 200, 300

and yes, even more that 400 pounds! And oh,

how great they've all ended up looking and feeling!

All of those successful people will tell you that losing

weight was hard work. But as they worked to lose the

weight, they never lost sight of their dream, always

visualizing how they'd look at their new weights. And,

yes...they did work hard for it!

I

have to tell you, I've never met a person who couldn't

lose weight. And many of these people have often lost

the weight, in spite of having medical problems that

required them to take lots of daily medications. But

the good news is that each of them still managed to lose

the weight!

Many of you know what often happens because you may have

been down this road before. You know how it is. You

lose some weight then...end up putting it right back

on. You may even throw in the towel after a few weeks

of trying. And you know what happens when you do that,

don't you? Oh yes, not only do you gain all of the

weight back but a feeling of hopelessness may settle in

over you, too.

Well,

I'm here today to offer you some hope. See, you can and

you will lose this weight. And by doing so, you'll turn

your life around. There were many times, in my own

early weight-loss efforts where I felt down, like I just

could never lose the weight. But I was so wrong!

I held on to my own hopes and my dreams. I kept

fighting...until I reached my goal. That's what

you have to do!

And what did I get in return? Well, I changed the way I

looked and the way I felt about myself. And guess

what? Now it's your turn. Yep, you can

change the way you look and the way you feel about

yourself if you'll only work hard, lose the weight

and...reach your goal.

ACCEPT IT!

Love,
