This happens when Ed decides to stop in the bakery on his walk home from the train station after work. Instead of just getting 2 or so donuts for just himself he grabs 6 to a dozen, "just in case" anyone else wants them. Well, yeah, Henry and I *want* them, but neither of us *should* have them! >I also managed to force myself to walk 2 miles every day except one and that is because it (my knee) was soooooo crabby I just couldn't force myself to go. I just couldn't get myself to exercise this morning, not even something simple and easy like qigong. We spent the whole weekend packing boxes and carrying them down and then up flights of stairs. Then when we were making our last trip up to our apartment yesterday my arm decided to do something foolish on its own (I had no control over it, I swear!) and it decided to whack the fingers of my left hand against the wall when I went reaching for the banister. 3 of the fingers are swollen and painful, and maybe I even broke something, but it's not worth going back to the doc - I've been putting ice on them to reduce the swelling but still can't make a fist. On top of that, it's been a miserable raining night last night and according tot he forecast, the entire upcoming week, so part of the pain and swelling in the fingers - and the toes on both feet - are probably the arthritis acting up. I'll take a day of rest and do a decent workout tomorrow, if the feet cooperate. I wound up going to the laundromat this morning with my cane, that's how bad the feet are. >Last night, I drove out to the college to pick up DS18 to come home "for the weekend" - he's actually heading back Monday morning (or so he says) so we'll only have a couple days with him. I've missed him, but I can tell college has been good for him. I'm surprised he came home for just the three (or 2) days. He must miss you guys as much as you all miss him. >but I am worried about you today so send me "something" to let me know you're ok today (LOL) so he did. He sent me an email in FRENCH. Little bugger is taking French I (101?) this year. So I had to go to google translate to see what he wrote me LOL!! I once threatened Henry like that one of those days he would leave home at 6am and wouldn't be home until almost midnight. I left a message on his phone to let me know he's OK, and a few hours later he left a message on the answering machine - "OK" was all he said. It was good enough for me. > Next week starts my two week stint with the fair I'm counting on you to allow this year's fair to go by with no drama this year, all right? >So I don't know how much I will get on here during the week (probably not much at all, actually) and I will hold down the fort. Go, have fun. And if you have any corn dogs, have a bite for me. Sue in NJ
