Guest guest
Today’s Meals 2am bowl: salami rollups with cream cheese and pepper 6am bowl: eggs, pork sausage, green onion, monterery jack cheese 10am bowl: seafood salad (clams, scallops, salmon, mayo, bell peppers and onions) 11am bowl: SF gelatin with cream 2pm bowl: beef and broccoli with extra fat added 6pm bowl: bratwurst, nappa cabbage, onion I missed taking a photo of the salami and the gelatin bowls. But I did take a photo of making the salami rollups! lol. About 4 fit in my bowl. Liquids: Pot of Darjeeling tea cup of coffee with cream 2/3 gallon of weak tea with lemon pot of herbal tea with coconut oil cup of coffee with coconut oil and cream I woke up refreshed at 2am. Sigh. It will whack out my day, but I suppose it really doesn't matter. I can nap anytime. BG was 106, the best reading in a long time. I just could not go back to sleep. Wide awake as could be. Slept well for the hours I did sleep. A few surprises today, on a whim, I took a ketone reading and I am in ketosis. My appetite should soon start going down. I am increasing fats and that should show a difference in my appetite in the next day or so. I continued to read One Bowl, the step I am on is about Declaring a Meal. This is basically not eating according to any schedule, but when you feel like eating, call it a meal. Is suppose it is making the association that the bowl represents feeding time and that keeps you thinking about what a meal meals, even if you only put a small amount of food in the bowl, for a nibble. Anything and everything I am eating at this point goes into the bowl, even if it is finger food. By putting it in the bowl, I am making it a meal, I am acknowledging that is is for me to eat if I want it. I can take a few bites and not eat the rest if I feel like it. I have noticed this happening a couple of times, of feeling the need to eat, but once I had a couple of bites, I wasn't really wanting more. So far, I have not left any food in the bowl, but I have a feeling it will come. There is something so inherently satisfying about nurturing myself instead of counting each calories and trying to decide if I should eat it, if I can afford the food, page 82. Then comes the 5 principles, which I will type out tomorrow. -- Posted By One Small Bowl to One Small Bowl at 3/28/2011 06:04:00 PM
