I would blame a lot of that gain to water weight, too. Those ramen

noodle cups are super salty, each one supplying a full day's worth

of sodium in many cases. I'm sure the cheese was salty, too.

Yep.

LOL Might work! I read from a lot of ladies how they *need* one day

of out and out high calorie eating to jump start their metabolism

again. Some nutrition folk out there don't believe in "starvation

syndrome" but many of us who have lived with this all our lives know

that you can only lower your calorie level, slow the metabolism,

only so much before the whole mechanism shuts down and needs that

injection of high test fuel to prove to your body that you're *not*

starving it, that food *is* readily available.

And besides, the authors of Overcoming Overeating and other eating

disorder writers have been saying that for every bout of severe

restriction there's the inevitable binge as a natural reaction.

Unfortunately, for the next 13 months your life is going to be

anything *but* routine! What works for this home time probably won't

work for the year you're at your daughter's house with a few kids at

your feet all day. Just be willing to be a bit flexible as your life

gets all shook up for a while.

I only disagree on one thing you mentioned, it was not the severe restriction that caused my binge behaviors.. I have been doing it much too long and like how it feels. The binge came from my old sneak eating triggers and anxiety and being alone...a combination that is lethal for me. I know it before it happened, been there way too many times not to know it intimately.

As for the sodium...yes and no. I am not swollen visibly and by the time I am writing this response, I am still holding on to the weight. Even with my increase in fluids (a gallon a day) I am still hanging on to the weight. But I am determined as always, and will be soon back on track, I have at least one day under my belt! lol
