Guest guest
TIME TO TRAVEL Friday, 19 August 2011 Well, I'm hittin' the road again, Jack...or Jill! Yep, I'm leaving this morning for beautiful Toronto, Canada. Oh, I just love that city. First of all, I have to say that Toronto is one of the most spotless and cleanest big cities I've ever seen. Second of all, the people who live there are overwhelmingly friendly. And thirdly, Toronto's got some of the best shopping in North America. Now me, I'm more of a window shopper. I just love walking down a city street and seeing all of the great displays put up by the stores and shops. It reminds me of when my mother, Shirley and I went window shopping together on Canal Street back home in New Orleans. And let's talk about all of the restaurants in Toronto. Oh, just name a kind food and you'll find it there. Toronto is Canada's largest city and a real melting pot of cultures from all over the world. And because it is, you can find all kinds of great restaurants from Cuban to Thai to authentic African cuisine...and more! I'll be appearing on Friday at the Canfitpro International Fitness & Club Business Conference. It's for people who own or manage health clubs all over Canada. When word got out that I'd be attending, oh, I got so many messages on Twitter and Facebook. My classes will be open to the public and lots of Canadian members from my Clubhouse will be joining me there. I can't wait to see them all. After I teach my big sweatin' class, I'll stay for a while and meet as many people who came out to see me as I can. Then it's off to the airport as I fly on to my next stop, Columbus, Ohio. I'll be there to teach another big class for Columbus' Channel 10 at their big Health & Fitness Expo. My class begins Sunday at 1:00PM and I hear they've built a huge stage for me right there in the middle of the Expo. You know I'll be shakin', rattlin' and rollin' with everyone who comes out to see me. Of course I've picked out some really hot songs to play including one of my new favorites by Gloria Estefan called WEPA. Oh boy, what a beat that song has. I don't think my feet even touch the floor when I'm dancing to it. LOL. Just like always, after my show is over, I'll sign lots of autographs, take pictures with and talk to a lot of the people who joined me at the Expo. Then I'll get on another plane for my flight home to Los Angeles. My main reason for visiting Toronto and Columbus is to motivate as many people as I can and remind them of how very special and important they all are. I'll meet lots of people for the very first time. But like in Toronto, I'll also meet some of my Clubhouse members, some of my friends who've taken the Cruise To Lose with me and I'll meet people who've come out to see me many times over the years. Why, it'll be almost like a little family reunion. I've traveled a lot during the nearly four decades I've been doing what I do. And you know what? I'm so glad I still have my love for traveling. Oh, it's just in my blood. Hey, who knows, maybe I'll meet you this weekend and we'll have a whole lotta fun---sweatin' and chattin'!
