Guest guest
Hugs, Sapphyre! I didn’t know what to do when both my husband and I lost our jobs at the school. The doors simply shut down. I was lucky to work for my daughter as her nanny so I could keep our mortgage payments on time, while my husband went to trucking school. There wasn’t any jobs in accounting where I lived and so the few times I checked, there still wasn’t any. It’s been strange to be unemployed for so long, but I am guessing I am “retired†at this point. Except for my employment with my daughter for the upcoming year, I doubt I will work again. Funny, when a door closes, another one opens up and a new world emerges! Have a go at that book! From: Sapphyre Sent: Monday, January 24, 2011 8:26 PM 100Plus List Subject: Ok ... REALLY Getting A Fresh Start ... Friday is my last day at work, I'm being laid off. I'm petrified, but there's nothing I can do but look for something else. I'm excited in a way that I can devote 100% of my time to my weight, when I was off work before this job I was doing great. Of course, this job is so stressful and my boss so hateful I'm grateful he's laying me off so I can get unemployment, not outright firing me. So hopefully something better will come along. In the meantime I'm focusing in me, and finishing my first novel. *~*~*~* "If I look down the road and see how far I have to go, I may get discouraged. Did you have any warning before this week? I thought you were the last one left, or one of just 2? > Of course, this job is so stressful and my boss so hateful I'm grateful he's laying me off so I can get unemployment, not outright firing me. I know you complained about the job (Well, the boss, actually) since you started there a few years ago, so I guess it *is* a blessing in disguise. It's just so hard to find *any* job right now. > So hopefully something better will come along. Well, all I can say is Good luck on both the job hunt and the novel.
