FILLED WITH LOVE!

Monday, 14 February 2011

Oh, I'm in

such a loving mood today. And do you know why?

Well of course you do...it's Valentine's Day!

Yes, it's the day of love and I truly do, well...love

it! This morning, I stopped to think about

all of the love I've received from others over the

course of my life...and the love I gave back.

Oh how I love my parents, Shirley and Leonard,

so very much. I keep a photo of them in my

dressing room and it's truly my favorite. The photo

was taken in 1945 and is of my folks sitting on the

sofa in the living room of their very first

apartment in New Orleans' French Quarter. I'm

telling you, they're sitting so close, they look

like two heads on one body! LOL. They have the

biggest smile on their faces and you could see how

in love they were. And oh yeah, there's a pair of

Pomeranians sitting with them and it looks like the

pooches are in love, too!

I remember how loving my brother, Lenny, was to me

when we were kids. Keep in mind, I wasn't your

average run-of-the-mill kinda kid. (Bet you're not

surprised to hear that, are you? LOL!) Hey, I was

a little on the crazy side, even back then! And I'm

sure that sometimes I drove Lenny a little out of

his mind with my antics. But I think my big brother

loved me even more because of my nutty sense of

humor.

I loved my teaches in elementary school. They were

all nuns and, like Lenny, they loved me even though

I often gave them aggravation with my pranks, too.

Also in my

dressing room, there are photos of all my dogs. Oh,

Scarlett, Marty, , Prissy, Pitty Pat, ,

Dolly and Hattie. I can't tell you how much love my

babies have given me over the years. I only have

Hattie with me now and, you can bet, she'll be

getting a whole lotta lovin' from me today.

I love my devoted staff at Slimmons and the

wonderful friends who keep my web site going

everyday. I love my manager, Catalano and

his family. He's been at my side for 23 years and

keeps my life running so smoothly.

I have to get back to my now all-grownup big

brother, Lenny and his adorable wife, . Every

time I'm with them, I feel the love they have for

me...and for each other. When they were here for

Christmas, the two of them were sitting so close on

my living room couch, they reminded me of that photo

I told you about of my folks, from 1945.

Of course, I love and Irma, the two women

who've taken such good care of me for decades now.

The two of them make my house feel like a home, each

and every day of the week.

Okay,

did I forget anyone? Oh come on now, you know I

wasn't about to forget all of you, my

truly special friends who visit my web site every

day. Yes, I love you with all my heart! You send

me E-mails filled with love, making me feel special

but, it's like I said, you're all every bit as

special...to me.

I hope that on this Valentine's Day, you'll walk

down your own Memory Lane and think about the love

you've received over the years, too. Because you

know what? Love is what keep's us all going!

Enjoy

your ride on the LOVE TRAIN today!

LOVE!
