Unfortunately, in the USA it *is*, especially when people rush to

get out of their homes in the morning to get to work or school, and

lunch breaks, IF people even get one, are sometimes only 20 minutes

long. Many families only see each other at the dinner table because

we have such busy lives. There's no way as a culture we can change

things around so the families can get together in the middle of the

day to share their large meal.

Do *any* cultures do that any more?

I have found that I eat most of my calories before 2:00 PM. Usually my largest meal, calorie-wise is breakfast. I am a diabetic and I have learned that I function better with a larger breakfast and smaller meals during the rest of the day. Dacia<>< "In that day the deaf

I use to eat most of my calories at dinner and even more after! lol. I now prefer to eat more at lunch than at dinner, unless we are home and can sit down to a nice glass of wine too. I am not sure exactly when it happened, but I cannot stand to have any food in my stomach when I go to bed. How weird that is when I think of all the many years I actually brought food to bed and munched while reading. Yes, those were the years of heartburn for sure!

My husband still eats a lot at dinner and never ceases to amaze me that within 5 minutes of leaving the dinner table, he is munching on snacks! Where he finds the room is beyond me.

My friend is Tunisian but grew up in France and lunch is their biggest meal. She actually cooks hot food for lunch. In my house with 5 kids lunch is usually easy, a sandwich or something like that (for the kids I mean.)StaceySent from my BlackBerry® wireless device from STCFrom: Sue in NJ <sue_in_nj@...>Sender: 100-plus Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2011 13:31:40 -0500<100-plus >Reply 100-plus Subject: Re: 's MOTD Wednesday February 16, 2011 On 2/16/2011 5:39 AM, wrote:> By then, it's time ofcourse, for dinner.
