Guest guest
It was a crazy time yesterday. I spent the morning sewing up a storm to finish up a commission I had so I could get it in the mail by noon. Then I headed to the thrift shop for my " day out " and found a bag of antique mother of pearl buttons (score!) and 2 sets of wooden knitting needles and a gorgeous hand made bowl with a mixed glaze. Very pleased with these things. Then I went grocery shopping for the next run plus a few things for the next couple of days. All meat, fresh greens, fresh brussel sprouts, other produce, eggs, cream, cheese and the only treat was pork rinds. I got home, put everything away and started dinner. Afterwards, I put on my suit and was looking so forward to swimming only to find the pool was icy cold, no heat at all. DAMN IT. So no swimming this home-time. I will have to try and grab the manager and find out what is going on. At least I got half a day of shopping-walking and hauling bulk groceries up and down stairs. After dinner, we watched a french film, and I had ONE tea candy drop, and ONE sugar free pudding. Here is yesterday's meals: Yes, the carbs were higher than I need, but I am making it two days now without any brandy, and I am keeping my calories in check. However, this morning my BG was 200!!!!! Not good at all. I panicked and checked my weight, and it was still 238. I have no idea why it spiked on 55 carbs. Today I will make sure my carb range is much lower. I am not stressed, not sick, so all I can say is that every single time I come back here, my weight and my BG bounces up to the sky. Grrr. I will try not to let it get to me. So far today, I sorted my buttons, whack took hours, but it feels to good to have them ready for sewing projects. Who knows what's next. Loving that I can indeed be home and play. -- Posted By i Mouse to Mindful i Mouse at 2/01/2011 01:05:00 PM
