Guest guest
BG is 91 this morning. I am up one pound. I am now sitting at a 4 pound gain, at 239, which is the least amount I have ever gained on a hometime. I did eat much higher in calories yesterday, but not in volume. It was our party day, and we ate what we wanted. We ate a very low carb breakfast, as husband was going to the doctor and would have his BG checked. After all our errands, we decided to eat lunch at home, so I chose pork rinds and a small container of sour cream (I do miss chips an dip). For dinner, I made a wonderful chicken an sausage curry with lots of veggies in it. My treat then was 4 pieces of Dove's sugar free dark chocolate drops (VERY GOOD!) and 2 extra glasses of wine. I am probably up a pound from the sodium, as my hometime calories have so far averaged to: This includes today's estimated meals, so tomorrow when I am back on the road, I can adjust it to be more accurate. I have to say, I am extremely proud of myself for this hometime, keeping it controlled and still having a few fun foods (that you pork rinds and sugar free chocolate!). It was very hard not to have the brandy, we were in the liquor store twice this week, so the temptation was a very real situation to deal with. The supreme challenge will be course the next home time, where I will be here for a whole month, ALONE and having all the little anxieties that come with getting projects done and waiting to leave. But, I have proven to myself that I can manage it, so upon this little 4 day success, perhaps I can make it through that time period too. Yesterday's meals: I feel really good that the ticket to Hawaii is bought, that I have 5 more weeks on the road and then that is it for a year. When I return, I will rejoin my husband on the truck until we have accumulated the remaining savings to give up trucking and leave for Denmark. We estimate about 2 more years. It was fun to talk to the travel agent about taking the Queen II back, which will be our treat after such a long hard haul through trucking. I keep mentioning that I don’t mind taking a plane, but my husband still insists that he wants to do this. I am all for it! -- Posted By i Mouse to Mindful i Mouse at 2/03/2011 04:28:00 AM
