Well, It's Snowing!

Just a fine mist of snow, but it's sticking. I had experienced a 4 pound bloat and it finally dissipated I was so relieved. It gets so frustrating to see the scale go down, then all of a sudden bounce back up in a HUGE way, even though you know you've stayed in control. So I'm back on an even keel. I'm off work today due to weather so I'll keep busy cleaning I think. I'm forgetting all about January and starting anew in February, I still have a shot at my 70 pound goal and I mean to achieve it. Today is going to be a great contribution, I already have my food planned out and I'll be doing great.

Ok I'm going to go out and play in the snow!

Did you ever get your greenhouse put up? If not, I hope your plants

survive this freak weather you're having.

One salty meal does that to me.

LOL Gotta laugh at this one. With all the snow we've had this season

(Around 60" I think the last count was) only once did Ed's place of

business close, even though for 4 of the storms the gov declared a

state of emergency and told people to stay indoors. Even our mayor

issued a declaration that cars doing non-emergency travel around

town will be ticketed because icy conditions and lack of enough salt

made the roads dangerous. Yep, our city ran out of rock salt already

and it's only the beginning of February. They're hoping to get a new

supply in by today and start salting again ASAP because everything

is a sheet of ice out there. My husband looked at our Tiny Toyota on

his way home from work last night, wondering if he could at least

shovel the tailpipe out and warm it up over the weekend, but there's

at least an inch of solid ice over the 2+ feet high mounds of snow

it's encased in and there's no way he'll be able to safely get to

the tailpipe or the front door.

And more snow showers tomorrow, Tuesday and Thursday. (sigh)

At least the local groundhog did NOT see his shadow to maybe we'll

have an early Spring. A gal can dream, can't she? LOL

I remember the year we lived in Florida, the big winter holiday

celebration the city of Kissimmee had included trucking in something

like a ton of snow and dumping it in the park near the lake. It was

so great watching the little kids play in it, many of whom had never

seen snow in their lives.
