Guest guest
Here's the Saturday ramble. I promise it's not a rant, just telling ya about life in ville this weekend: Well, exdh ended up in the hospital on Thursday with "blood clots in his lungs" do DS14 went to his aunt's overnight that night. Last night, I came to exdh's house to stay a couple of days so DS14 could be in his own element and not crammed into someone else's house... it's already crowded at our house with mother, myself and two sons, ya know?? So, this is how the weekend will be: bored, cold and hungry LOL! There is t.v. but I am pretty sure he only gets one channel LOL There is food, but nothing I want to eat (or snack on) I think I figured out how to work the thermostat and turned it up a few degrees DS14 says "I don't think dad is going to be happy about that" I responded "I am not going to freeze to death all weekend and a few degrees for a couple of days isn't going to change his heat bill that much" LOL!! This is from the gal that is always HOT at home with mother playing thermostat war with me. Makes me wonder how hot she really tries to keep out place. I am fighting off a cold or whatever the crud of the week is that they've been breeding through the work place. I'm putting up a really good fight, considering our temperatures have been really cold again this week. I think it's supposed to warm up to the mid-30s now through mid week, then a little cooler again. I feel so sorry for all the folks "down south" and "back east" that are just getting slammed with cold and snow! Come on, what is up this winter?? OH! Exciting news last night is Elton is coming to Spokane for a concert April 8th and hunny is going to see if he can get us tickets for the show. If so, he'll come here again for a visit. That is one of the things that he promised me in the December/holiday meltdown, is that he'd come here more often if I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I love to be the one that gets to travel, he pays for it anyway, so it doesn't cost me much of anything other than using my vacation days at work, but it gets tiresome to "have" to be the one to get all manic to travel so this will be nice to have him come here 1-2 times a year.... So, I will see if I can find out a pre-sale code to look for tickets ($27-137 dollars, so we'll probably look for the median price $77 for tickets) There is no room here for my WATP or aerobic DVDs to be done, so I may need to go outside and walk around the neighborhood a few times to move my body. I also think about going home to shower, change out clothes, etc and come back a fresh woman, so if I do that, I can do my exercise while I am there. Since there is no t.v. to speak of here, I will maybe go home tomorrow for the SuperBowl game and pizza "night" for dinner. I am excited! I love the game for the commercials more than anything and it's an excuse to have pizza. So there ya have it about life in kellyland and I will check in when I can. Hugs - stay warm, dry and safe! Makes me wonder how hot she really tries to keep out place. My husband's aunt keeps her place at 80 to 82 degrees at all times. Every time we go, even if it's 10 degrees outside, I have to wear summer clothing or I'm a puddle of sweat before I even get her grocery list written up. >I am fighting off a cold or whatever the crud of the week is that they've been breeding through the work place. Every time anyone Ed works with gets even the sniffles he pulls out the Vitamin C capsules and downs a few each day. I try get him to take them daily during winter anyway but he usually forgets or fights me. >I feel so sorry for all the folks "down south" and "back east" that are just getting slammed with cold and snow! Come on, what is up this winter?? We found both cars yesterday and cleared out the tailpipes and warmed both of them up, just to keep a charge in those batteries. I'd say about half the block hasn't shoveled out their cars since the 19" storm, some still in place since the post-Christmas one. Right now our cars are on the diagonal-parking side of the street and have 3-4 feet of ice-covered snow between the plowed part of the street and the bumpers, and that snow is about 2-3 feet high. The fronts, from the cleared part of the sidewalk to front bumpers, is about the same. Those cars aren't going anywhere! If we need to get somewhere we can't walk to we have plenty of busses and 3 different taxi cab fleets to choose from. >OH! Exciting news last night is Elton is coming to Spokane for a concert April 8th and hunny is going to see if he can get us tickets for the show. If so, he'll come here again for a visit. Lucky devil! >There is no room here for my WATP or aerobic DVDs to be done, If I can find room, so can you. Just take those sidesteps a little smaller and stay walking or jogging in place when moves front to back those 2 steps. Modify! It's better than walking outside in 20 degree weather on icy streets. >Since there is no t.v. to speak of here, I will maybe go home tomorrow for the SuperBowl game and pizza "night" for dinner. All 3 teen boys in one room? You're a glutton for punishment! LOL We're not football fans here, but I *will* tape the Puppy Bowl later. Sometimes when I need the world to stop for a while during the year I just pop in a Puppy Bowl video and laugh for a while. Who can NOT feel calmer watching puppies play? >I am excited! I love the game for the commercials more than anything I catch them on YouTube. >and it's an excuse to have pizza. I make this every Friday around here. >So there ya have it about life in kellyland and I will check in when I can. Good luck, and may your favorite team win today. Guest guest
Hope he's doing okay now. Any idea when they're letting him home and if he'll be able to take care of your son when he does? Nothing yet - maybe today - the doctor thinks it may be an infection of some sort, but the hospital isn't instilling a lot of confidence this go around. They "lost" the echocardiogram the did on Thursday night and didn't seem all that alarmed or urgent with the finding of it on Friday.... Every time anyone Ed works with gets even the sniffles he pulls out the Vitamin C capsules and downs a few each day. I try get him to take them daily during winter anyway but he usually forgets or fights me. That's a good tip, I'll have to go get some Vit C If I can find room, so can you. Just take those sidesteps a little smaller and stay walking or jogging in place when moves front to back those 2 steps. Modify! It's better than walking outside in 20 degree weather on icy streets. Yesterday, I spent the majority of the day napping LOL trying to ward off this bug, today I'm heading home for the superbowl game, etc so can do my WATP, etc during the game, the kids won't care. I think youngest son will stay here at his home to do homework, etc and if their dad is not going home from the hospital, we'll have to come up with a plan for the night Ok, off to get the day going... have a great day
