THE ATTACK!

When I get up in the morning, I

don't just casually get out of bed. Oh no, not me. I

bounce right out of bed and attack my day.

I'm serious, there's so much energy flowing through me

when I open my chocolate brown eyes in the morning.

And right after I get up, I say some very important

words to myself...immediately! And I'll give

you a little taste of what I say to myself right here:

Attack the day before it attacks you!

I march right up to the

mirror and give myself a little speech: "

, you will eat healthy today and you will get

in your hour of exercise. You'll keep your attitude

positive and strong...all day long. You'll drink

your eight glasses of water and, one more thing.

You will be nice to everyone you meet today. Now,

put on your helmet, get out there on that field

and...Attack!"

Yep, I'm all fired up in the morning because you know

what? If you don't start your day fired up and ready

to attack, then there will be other things coming your

way to attack you. Uh-huh, you will be

attacked. Oh yes you will. Let me give you a few

examples.

If you don't begin your day in

"attack mode," you'll be weak when the food comes

calling your name. And you know what'll happen then,

don't you? You will attack the

food! Have you ever eaten in the food court of

a shopping mall? (Of course you have. LOL. ) But

did you ever sit and watch the people around you

eating? My goodness, it's as if they're attacking

their food with those little plastic knives and forks!

You know what else will strike you? A lazy

attack! They sound like this: I don't

feel like taking a walk today. Or...I

don't think I'll go to the gym this afternoon.

Or you might end up saying to yourself, I'm going

to skip the exercise today. I just don't feel so

good!

Now there's another kind of attack that can strike you

and this one's a doozy. You could get a sadness

attack. That's right. You didn't set the tone

for your day in the morning and now your mind is

filled with sad thoughts and unhappy memories. And

when you're in that mood, your whole day just goes to

pot.

That's why you must act as if

you've been in a "cage" all night as you were

sleeping. Then, when you get up in the morning, the

gate to that cage opens and you're ready to enter The

Jungle!

Now I know you're thinking to yourselves, "Wow,

is being so dramatic today!" And yes,

I am. But I'm doing it to make a very important

point. Your life is so precious. And every

new day God blesses you with, you've got to grab that

day by the horns and make it the very best it can be.

Now, tomorrow morning after you wake up, I want you to

get out of bed with some pizzazz and purpose in your

soul. March right over to that mirror, like I do,

"coach" yourself as your begin the new day and then...ATTACK!
