Guest guest
Regular weight in day. This one is iffy. Two places in the sloping restroom floor, I weighed 249 and 247. Two other places I weighed 236, maybe even 235.5. You KNOW which weight I am going to go with! Click to enlarge. I'm calling it a loss from midweek weigh-in, but a no loss for the whole week. I am on my 70th week of dieting. Wow. I have been on a diet that long? Yesterday's foods: Just playing around with reports, this one shows where my carbs are coming from in all that I ate. BG dropped back down to 78. I felt better this morning, not as bad as I have felt the last few days. I was more bright and less crabby. I think it was hormonal and not food related. That’s the stickler about dieting, one tends to think everything is related to it, like the diet is the sun and everything else revolves around it. Which reminds me, I have decided on my next tattoo. When I get under 200 pounds, I will have a sun at the top of my arm, what the sea turtle and the mermaid are swimming towards. Early this morning while I was waiting for my husband to wake up, I read a story about the Hawaiian demi-god Maui having to capture the 16 rays of the sun with a rope made of his sister's hair because the sun was so self indulgent that it flew across the sky for the pure pleasure of it, while the people on earth didn't have enough sunlight to raise crops or do their daily work. Once captured, the sun of course couldn't do what it wanted to do and the people couldn't take constant sunlight, so a compromise was made, that the sun could still enjoy arcing across the sky, as long as it did it slowly enough for the people to have time to do what they needed to do. I though, YES! This is a perfect symbol for me to use as my tat, as the book that told the story was using it as a concept for metabolism, and with the " control " and discipline I have learned in order to have want I want instead of being so self indulgent, means finding the right balance after all. Plus, it is a Hawaiian story and I will be having it done in Hawaii., as my turtle was. A fun inspiration! -- Posted By i Mouse to Mindful i Mouse at 1/28/2011 12:28:00 PM
