BG 80 this morning. Ketones 40 (moderate). I added half a can of turnip greens and more olive oil to my dinner last night, but other than that, ate what was on my meal plan. Today's Meals: B- ultra thin wasa, sliced muenster cheese, coffee with whole milk powder L- summer sausage, cucumbers, tomatoes, egg, olive oil and lemon juice T- raw pecans, tea D- chicken sausages, turnip greens with olive oil I had to go back and edit the meal list, as I found myself putting in the numbers. Sigh, always the numbers. Such a difficult habit for me to break! I finally took the camera out, so here is the photo I mention about the last dinner on hometime: It was so good. Beef patty, mushrooms and onions, sauce and a fabulous salad. I want to compare this " normal " sized china to what I use for most of my meals. Because I sit at the table with my husband for breakfast and dinner at home, I used our china. On the truck or when alone, I use a child's set, by Homer Laughlin: This is in a child's scale, the plate is smaller than the salad bowl shown above. The cup is smaller than an adult coffee mug. The small bowl, which I eat from the most (only using the plate occasionally) fits in my hand: I found this bowl when I was in Hawaii, in a thrift shop. I loved the smiling sunshine, giving off a positive energy about eating. I looked on eBay and found the matching set, that is when I realized that it was a child's china set. I believe the bowl holds about a cup and a half of food, the plate is about 8 inches across. What amazes me, is that plates made prior to the 1970's were 8 inches. Bowls were this small size too. Salad bowls were small, what we get in a restaurant now as a single serving was once what was served to a family of 4. Sigh....the numbers popped up again. The bowl gives me comfort. It doesn’t hold a lot and yet whenever I eat from it, it always seems to be just the right amount. In the beginning, I felt I had to fill it up, now I don’t. I put in it what I think I can eat and leave it at that. When I am done, there is a smiling face! I also use a small knife, spoon and fork, not the regular size. I love small things. lol. Anyways, I will take photo's of my meals in the next few days. I'm such a visual person. I want to continue to see and taste, not measure food. Here is where I sit on the truck: That’s my laptop. I am sitting on my husband’s bunk to take the picture. To my right is a slide out table and lots of storage cubbies for food. On my left is more storage, one being a closet. There is a top bunk with lots of cubbies for me and my stuff. It’s a very small world. But I like that, right? Well….. --
