Guest guest
Back on the road this morning. We were both still feeling very down and reluctant to get back on the truck, but by the time we were loaded and ready to go, things shifted into a more pleasant acceptance of our fate. But last night, we were very down about it. Husband spent time looking at houses in Denmark and he found a few that were affordable, available and that led to wishing we were closer to our goal of moving there. It was also the last day of home time and everything just felt so downright depressing. We even tossed around the idea of just selling everything and leaving, but of course that would mean not being able to buy a home and having to both work, and if we stick to our plan, we can stop working in 3 years and buy a home. It’s a no brainer, but still, we are so ready to go home! I did get some swimming in, but my last day is always filled with last minute laundry, deciding what to take, what we will need, groceries and supplies for 5 weeks, and what to make for dinner to use up misc groceries in the fridge. Sigh. By 7pm, husband cheers us up with war documentaries. Double sigh. My BG was down to 86 this morning! Wow! I was so excited about that. The truck was freezing cold, it was a real pain to try and make the beds when even the mattresses were frozen! I got all the clothes and groceries put away, and soon we were on our way. The truck was finally warm and our moods improved. Yesterday's meals: B- 2 eggs, bacon, coffee with cream L- creamed spinach with shrimp and meatballs, tea D- beef patty, brown sauce, mushroom & onions, spring greens salad, olive oil and vinegar, diet pepsi Today's meals: B- small slice of SF LC cheesecake, 2 ultra thin wasa, 2 slices of esrom cheese, coffee & cream L- summer sausage, muenster cheese, tea D- 2 chicken sausages, tea I've got my books on board, I really can't wait to start them and work on the techniques. Funny though that I am not feeling any fears right now about not counting calories. Everything feels fine, I haven't had any urges to eat more than a serving of anything, not even with " end of the year " or end of hometime to trigger the usual thoughts of getting away with eating more. -- Posted By i Mouse to Mindful i Mouse at 1/02/2011 10:31:00 AM

When we go outside and it's in the teens or lower or even sub-zero and you breathe in and your nose hairs freeze upon impact and your body goes WTH is going on?? Yeah... it can be rather depressing.... we've been in a cave for a few days because I keep the curtains closed to help insulate.... maybe I'll open up the curtains today to recharge the solar cells, our high is to be 19 LOL!!
