Yesterday went well food wise. BG this morning was 96! Yay! 12/31/10 B- 2 eggs, bacon, coffee L- 2 beef roll ups, 4 deviled egg halves, caviar D- Indian chicken curry -1 serving (all veggies and chicken in a sauce), 2 glasses of Spanish wine S- 2 more glasses of wine, 2 squares of dark chocolate with chili pepper (weird) S- 2 Irish coffee, slice of SF LC cheesecake I did feel some nausea during the evening, we watched Gone with the Wind, and I think the extra two glasses of wine just was too much. Much later, in trying to stay up, we made Irish coffee, but as absolutely delicious as it was, I felt the need to stop drinking, it just wasn't what I wanted. I do believe that very well may be the last of the booze for quite awhile. Never say never, but my quest to feel well is far more important and the last few instances of drinking made me feel ill. This is our last day on hometime, so we will soon change back to our spartan eating on the truck. I am actually looking forward to it. I have no time to read one of my books and comment on it, so instead I will comment on something I did this morning with my breakfast that I became aware of. I had made O'Brien potatoes for my husband, Danish bacon and eggs for the both of us. I put 3 small cubes of potato on my plate, 1 tiny piece of bell pepper and onion, because I wanted to just have a taste, without having all the carbs of a serving. It was pleasing, I could savour the small amount without having more than a bite. It can be a slippery slope to do this sort of thing, as the next time I may feel overconfident in what is a " small " amount and what I can handle. I know myself. But for this morning, for the moment that it was enjoyed, I felt no need to have more. --

CONGRATS! If I remember correctly, you had mentioned never being below 100 in the morning before so this is a good thing, yes...?

Hoping that things go better this round with no health/dental issues to drag you home solo again
