Guest guest
Yesterdays Meals: B- 2 oz ground beef, 1 egg, 1T heavy cream (omelet) herbal tea L- 2 red franks, 2 cups lettuce, 1 oz pecans, Blue Hawaiian drink D- 4 oz ground beef, 1 oz cheddar, 2T sour cream, 2 cups lettuce, 1T salsa, 3 oz cognac S- 1/2 oz dried squid 1744 calories, 100g fat, 31g carbs, 5g fiber, 81g protein. Percentage of Goals: calories high at 115%, fat ok at 90%, carbs ok at 92%, fiber lagging at 40%, protein a bit better at 85%. The blue Hawaiian drink was not something I do in the middle of the day, but I was dealing with high emotion, a tender marital discussion and I just needed some sort of soothing. I struggled not to eat over it, so I chose a drink. I am glad I did, I did feel more relaxed and everything ended up better than before. It also was the last of the rum and mix, so if I can be better at my low carb goal, I will not go in that direction again. Thank you, anon commenter, I guess I really needed to hear the words, I should be concentrating on the important number of carbs and not the calories. So today, that is what my plan of action is, concentrating on keeping the carbs as low as possible with the foods I have access to. I am pleased that I got them to a net 26 carbs yesterday, today I want to do as well. I ate ham and cheese for breakfast and red franks and 1/2 a yam for lunch, so I am just where I want to be. The food I am eating is only what my little sunshine bowl can hold and no more. The baby is still not ready to be born. My poor daughter is hitting her 42nd week tomorrow. I sure hope she will be born before I leave! My tattoo is so amazing, I am just loving it. My husband is having one done on Friday. We laugh at how we would never have done such a thing just a year ago, but I say life is too short to not do outrageous things when you hit midlife, It has led to a deeper level discussion lately that has made me feel so much better about myself and our marriage. Funny how it was sparked by a crazy idea of a turtle tattoo. Now I want a mermaid, lol. -- Posted By elisaannh to The Little Bowl at 8/18/2010 03:26:00 PM
