Hip Hip Hooray….I saw 239 on the scale this morning! I am finally back down to the lowest weight I saw the last time I was on the truck (early July) and the first week back on the truck. I could potentially have been down 15 more pounds (GRRRRR) had I stuck to my diet faithfully and consistently through those 3 months, but that did not happen and I only set my own self back. I am ecstatic to see the number again! I wished I could have gotten a photo of it, but I had enough to do to grab the scale and my toothbrush and RUN to the restroom this morning. It was a close call! lol. 239. Could I possibly make it to say, 225 by Christmas? I smile at the thought. From 220 on down I usually feel like I am a normal-ish weight. The last time I weighed in the 220’s was in 1998. That was when I really started to feel heavy after weighing between 155 and 175 for 7 years. That was also the first year I tried low carb (The Go Diet). It was the year I moved to Colorado and when my first grandson was learning to crawl and then walk. It has been a long time since I have weighed 239 and this is quite a big deal for me. Yesterday I did take a couple more food pictures, this one is my husband;s lunch: 2 potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, 2 boiled eggs and a couple of mini peppers. I have the same veggies, but I add Italian dry salami and provolone cheese: Since I cannot use a food scale when we are in motion, I have all kinds of ways of marking serving sizes. You can see on the salami that I equally divided up the total ounces of the salami into 2 oz portions. I marked this with a sharpie on the paper casing. I eat 2-3 ounces at lunch depending on how long it may be to dinner time. I missed getting dinner’s photo, so I will try that tonight. Yesterday we did get two chocolate bars from the guard at the Hershey’s plant, as they usually do for truckers, I don’t like Hershey’s, but I could afford it in my calories and while it did bump up my carbs another 19, what the heck. Click to enlarge My blood glucose was 105 2 hours after dinner and chocolate, I thought it would be higher, so I am relieved about that. I can’t remember if I mentioned why I have changed my starting date and my starting weight. When I was home in September, I was going through my calendar for 2008 and 2009, finding I did marked down the starting date of my diet as Sept 26, not Sept 1. I know I had seen 307 pounds on the scale at home before we sold our house, but conveniently forgot that I marked down in August of 2009 that my weight at a truck stop scale was 317. I guess I did not want to remember that. Funny, because in September I had already changed it to an estimated 317 since I believed I may have been heavier before starting the diet. Just mentioning it, as I have changed my signature on groups emails and forum posts. Today we are taking another candy load from Ill to TX. I had hoped for FL, oh well. It seems it’s been a long time since we have been in FL. --
