I spent all morning going over a fabulous website that talked about dental problems and explained clearly the options. Look on the right side column for topics if you are interested At least now I feel I know what the dentist may suggest and what it entails. .I have never had trouble with my teeth before, so this is all new to me.

Owwwww I hope it's something quick to diagnose and rather easy to fix.

I have a cracked tooth too - needs a crown, but it's not "killing me" (yet or enough) to the point I am ready to put out that 500 dollars....

Wow....$500 for a crown? I was just quoted $1000-1200! At least I am more informed than I was before and will have a better idea of what to decide when given the options. The pain is worse and more frequent. I hope the bus ride won’t be awful.
