Guest guest
WHERE IS IT? Thursday, 09 September 2010 Did you lose it? Did you misplace it? When's the last time you looked at it? Remember? Okay, what is talking about, you ask? Well, a long time ago, back in January of this year, I asked you to make a list of resolutions for the new year. That's right, I wanted you to make a list of all the things you wanted to achieve in 2010. Hey, I wouldn't ask you to do anything I wouldn't do. I made my list. So, let me ask again, where's yours? I keep my own list of resolutions on my desk and look at it everyday. And I think even if you don't have your list right in front of you, you should be able to search your mind and remember the list of goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. Okay, over eight months have passed since January 1st. And if you've worked hard, many of the goals you set for this year could or should have been achieved by now. For instance, in eight months, you could have gotten a new job. Are you happy in your present job? If the answer is no, have you done anything about it since January? Was one of your goals to get a new pet this year? So many people wrote to tell me that they recently adopted a dog or cat. They tell me about the unconditional love they get from their pets. And boy, can I ever relate! I've had pets in my life for 31 years now. And I thank the Lord every night for allowing me to have shared my life with my eight wonderful Dalmatians. You could have stopped an addiction during these first eight months of the year. You could have stopped drinking, smoking or even abusing drugs. And during the past eight months, you could've learned how to eat healthier meals. You could have started a new constructive hobby or even learned to play a sport, like soccer. How neat would that be, huh? Now I want you to really think about today's message. See, you'll never achieve the goals in your life unless you first...set those goals. And it all begins with making a list and writing your goals down. Then keep that list someplace where you can look it over and review it everyday so you can see how well you're doing reaching them. That's how you nurture your goals, making them go from writings on a sheet of paper to...reality. I'll bet if you really think about it, you've probably already achieved a few of the goals you set at the beginning of the year. And maybe today's the day where you'll add some new goals for yourself. Hey, you've still got about 100 days more to live in 2010. So why not fill those 100 days with purpose as you set, work for and reach some of the new goals you make for yourself. Love,
