Guest guest
HOW DO YOU FEEL? Tuesday, 28 December 2010 Okay, so I know that you "feel" with your hands. But seriously, I want to know how you feel today, inside your mind. Oh yes, the excitement of the biggest holiday of the year is over. And I hope that you truly had a splendid one or...a Splenda one. LOL. All of the gifts have been unwrapped and many people have already begun taking down their Christmas decorations. (I leave mine up until January 6th so the Wise Men can find their way home.) Many people went shopping yesterday and loaded up on cards, wrapping paper and holiday decorations for next Christmas. My goodness, people are already buying stuff for Christmas...2011! (Are you one of them?) Hey, when you see a really good bargain, you can't pass it up, right? Did you have any eggnog this holiday season? Oh, I see...you did! Well, you won't be able to get any more eggnog until the next holiday season. (But hey, maybe that's a good thing!) Okay, so let me get back to my original question...how do you feel? Are you feeling proud of yourself because you were able to stay on program with your eating and exercise routine during this holiday season? I mean, did you make every effort to watch your portions, drink your water and get your workouts in? And are you proud that you actually lost a few pounds with all of the festivities and temptations around you? If you did, I'm so proud of you and, guess what? I did, too! This food, the wonderful foods I love so much? Hey, I can still enjoy many of them. Only now, I eat them in the right-size portions. And when I do, I'm still satisfied. Oh yes, this holiday season, I was tempted by homemade fudge, fettuccini alfredo, chocolate truffles and the most breathtakingly beautiful cookies I've ever seen. So I had just a little bite here and a little bite there but...I didn't eat so much that I was "bitten back" with a weight-gain! Now if you haven't done so well during the holidays, if you didn't pay attention to your portions and make time to get your workouts in then, most probably, you're not very happy with the numbers you see on your scale today. But believe me, I know how you feel because I've spent many Christmases feeling just the way some of you may feel today. Well, if you are feeling this way, please don't be depressed. I don't want you to fret...I want you eat right and sweat! That's right, today's the day you...begin again. And you can begin again by ridding your kitchen of all the foods you know you shouldn't be eating. You can also get in a good workout today. And I'm gonna tell you something, if you take my advice, you'll begin feeling better by the end of this day! But remember, you've got to do the same thing tomorrow and the next day. Now listen up, those New Years' celebrations are just around the corner. And for the new year...and beyond, I want you to... Feel fine...and divine!
