Guest guest
HELLO! Wednesday, 01 September 2010 Guess what? It's time to flip your calendars. Happy first day of September! Oh, I love calendars. I have one in my office and it features photos of nuns doing silly things on the big photos for each month. I have another calendar that's filled with artwork by Vladimar Kush, a famous Russian artist whose work I just love. Of course I have a Dalmatian calendar in the house, too. And oh, my friend, Pat, makes a calendar featuring me. She pulls the photos of me after finding them on the Web then creates the calendar for me. Now how sweet is that? So what's you calendar like? Is it filled with kittens or is it one of those adorable calendars with different breeds of puppies for each month? Or does you calendar feature 12 of those famous Chippendale's dancers? Naughty girls! (LOL.) Does your calendar have those big blocks for each date where you can write down important appointments or things you have to get done that day? You know, like doctor's appointments, dinner dates or reminders to take your medications? Well, I want you to start writing some other important things in your calendar's date blocks. For instance, if you exercised, write it down in that block on your calendar. If you ate healthy that day, write it in the block. And I also want you to write down your weight in one of the blocks at the end of each week. Believe me, it's really gonna help you be more responsible about your weight-loss efforts. See, I've always told you, it's about planning. When an architect designs a building, he draws out the plans first. When a producer is making a movie, she has to plan the scenes. And if you don't plan, you're really not correctly preparing yourself for the days ahead. Every morning, I have a list where I've written down everything I need to get done that day. And as I get each item done, I check it off my list. I do my best to make sure I get everything I need done that day, checked off my list and done. If I don't, any item I didn't get done moves to the top of the next day's list. Now, getting back to your list, I want you to plan how to lose five pounds this month. And part of that is to plan your meals. How many salads will you have this week? Will you get in those five servings of fruits and vegetables? How many times will you have fish this week? See, it's important to have some variety with what you eat so that you don't end up getting bored with having the same foods all the time. And you also have to plan against attacks. What do I mean by that? Well, you will be attacked by temptation. Or maybe you'll be attacked by someone saying something negative to you about your weight or something else. And for that reason, you should wear your bronze suit of armor so that you can be ready for any of those attacks that may come your way! I've been looking forward to September. I do by Cruise To Lose at the end of this month and I'm so excited to spend a week with my wonderful shipmates. I know many of you reading this message have children who're starting back to school. You've probably been very busy getting them ready for that first day of school. But please, no matter how busy you get, do not drop the ball when it comes to your good health this month. I'm gonna ask you again. (Because we don't have too long before the holidays arrive.) What do you want to weigh at the end of this year? Please, be your own architect as you design, plan and create a new body and a new life for yourself this new month of September...and beyond!
