Yesterday ended up too high in calories because I ended up eating too many mango slices. Sigh. Yesterday’s Meals: B- 3T coconut cream, 3T flaxseed meal, apricot tea L- Salad: 4 oz chicken, 2 oz cashews, 1T mayonnaise, 1T sour cream, water D- lettuce wraps: 2 oz ham, 1.5 slice of havarti, 3 leaves of romaine Had I stopped her, I would have been at 1200 calories. But no…the mangos entered my field of vision S- 1 cup of dried mango slices 1611 calories, 82g fat, 157g carbs, 13g fiber, 64g protein Percentage of goals: 106% on calories, 74% on fat, ghastly 461% on carbs, excellent 112% on fiber (thank you flaxseed) and low on protein at 68% Usually, I am ok with the carbs coming from fruit, but yesterday’s choice was not ok. I didn’t realize it until this morning after thinking it through, but my daughter and I went shopping in the late afternoon and on the way home she decided to stop and pick up dinner for everyone. She stopped at the clam shack, which makes the best tender BREADED deep fried clams. They are a favourite of mine, and I can handle the small 3 oz serving, but my determined goal yesterday was not to have any grains. So I declined the invitation and ate a sensible (for my tummy) dinner and I think when I saw the mango slices, I “justified†a treat because I gave up a treat of clams. That’s important for me to notice. Especially since I didn’t notice it last night. It took putting two and two together AFTER the fact that I realized it and that is just too late to be aware of what is going on in my head about food. I have been watching my monthly averages. I am at 1437 calories and 77 net carbs. I am doing better than I did in July, where for the first 13 days I was at 1840 calories, but a better 46 net carbs. I feel better than I did in July and I feel thinner even though I have no clue what so ever what my weight is. I have not weighed since the 27th of July. I don’t think I have actually lost any weight, but hopefully I am in the 230’s when I return, or at least no more than 243. --
