Guest guest
THE PLAN Monday, 19 July 2010 Before you went to bed last night, did you plan the meals you'd be having today? Now if you think about it, your planning really should have begun at the supermarket. I mean, after all, how can you plan what you'll be eating if you haven't bought the food yet? Well, you know you're probably going to be eating, for instance, oatmeal. So you'd have to add it to your list. You also have to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. (You get a lot of fruits and veggies on your weight-loss food plan so you need to stock up.) You'll also need your fat-free milk and other dairy products. (And by the way, be sure to read the labels on those little cartons of yogurt. Be on the lookout for sugar!)You'll need fresh chicken breasts, some fish filets and of course you should pick up some ground turkey. You'll also want to keep olive and canola oils in your kitchen cabinets. And I'm sure your supermarket has those little packages of fresh herbs in their produce departments. I'm talking herbs like basil, rosemary and fresh chives. Remember, you want the foods you eat to be healthy and flavorful. You'll need to make sure you have brown rice and yams on your shopping list, too. And oh, be sure to get a loaf of whole-wheat bread. After you bring those groceries into your house, you can begin planning your meals for the week ahead. Hey, wanna know what I have planned for my meals today? Okay, let me tell you...For breakfast, I'm having oatmeal topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. I'll also have a couple glasses of water, one with my meal and one for taking my daily vitamins. I'm preparing a salad for lunch. I'm making it with butter lettuce, sliced radishes, celery, carrots and zucchini. I'll add a little parmesan cheese, fresh garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. I'm also going to have whole wheat toast with a little bit of peanut butter. Between breakfast and lunch, I'm having an Asian pear and baby carrots for a healthy snack. After lunch, I'll probably have a little cup of yogurt. For dinner, I'll flatten some chicken breasts then stuff them with a few bread crumbs, onions and sliced cherry tomatoes. I'll also have a serving of a brown rice dish I made earlier. To the brown rice, I added mushrooms and artichoke hearts. And for dessert, I'll have a serving of peach sorbet. Sounds pretty good, huh? And the good news is that everything I'll be eating is good for me. Then tonight, before I go to bed, I'll plan my meals for tomorrow. And let me tell ya, this is how you lose weight my friends. It all begins with your making...A PLAN.Love,
