Guest guest
I have never been goal oriented. This time around, I have been much more involved in the whole weight loss process. I watch my reports, pay attention to the numbers, try to make sure I am heading in the right direction, even though it’s taken so much longer than I want it to. I still look for signs of success. I noticed that on my BMI calculator that I am so far into the obesity range it’s pathetic. I never used tools like this before and it makes me wonder how easy it is to be blind to these kinds of reality checks. I realize it is only a calculation of body fat, and not actual, but it is something that makes me realize where I am. Click to enlarge. It seemed not so long ago I was not even close to the first dotted line! Click to enlarge. However,I would have to weigh 185 before I am just over the last marker for obesity and move into the old fashioned overweight status. Sigh. 155 pounds before I am in the normal weight range. I aim to be in the normal range. 157 is my goal, but when I get there, I will decide how far I need to be. I have weighed 147 as an adult, so it will remain an open possibility. However, I have a major milestone coming up, my HALFWAY marker! When I have lost 9 more pounds, I will have lost HALF my excess weight and a total of 75 pounds! Wow, I wow myself! Me? Me, who struggled endless for years just to stay on a diet more than a couple of days? I have now been on my diet for 291 days! Some day, I won’t be obese any more! -- Posted By elisaannh to The Little Bowl at 6/20/2010 06:06:00 AM
