You're wondering what that number's all about, right? Well, it's the correct number for weight-loss, that's what. See, today we're going to talk about the importance of exercising...seven days-a-week.

When people E-mail me about their weight-loss efforts, I always ask them to write down how many days-a-week they exercise and which exercises they do. They're usually willing to oblige my request and do send in their lists. After reading their responses, I must say, their answers are often very enlightening. Those who exercise only one or two days-a-week are usually not losing any weight. And if they are, it's only a teeny little bit. Now the weight-loss does escalate for those who're exercising 3-4 days-a-week. But it's only those who're exercising seven-days-a-week who're really seeing their weight-loss dreams come true.Okay, here's the way I see it. Everyday...we have to eat. (Hey, eating properly is what keeps us alive.) But it's when we overeat that we gain weight and end up obese. Now if you exercise everyday, then you will burn off a lot of the calories you've consumed during the day. And not only do you burn calories as you work out but your body continues burning calories at an accelerated rate for a few hours after you've finished your workout. (Now there's some good news, huh?)

Here's something else you should know. When you exercise, it gives you lots of energy to do all of the things you need to get done during the day. You've actually awakened your body with your workout! Everything inside your body works more efficiently thanks to that exercise, including even your brain. Now if you skip a day of exercise and still eat or...overeat, just where do you think those calories go? Well actually, they go nowhere. Why? Because you didn't burn them off, that's why. They stay right there inside your body. Then, if you don't exercise for a few more days and you keep right on eating...uh, are you getting the picture? It's simple. You're not burning enough of the calories you eat and your body is storing the rest. Those calories are still inside you and will show up later...on your scale!

As for me, I exercise seven days-a-week. I tone for three days and do cardio the other four days. And you know what? Sometimes I do overeat. There...I said it. So, I have to get in those workouts of mine. (Hey, I don't want the calories from those two Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies staying inside of me!)So I'm asking you to make exercise a must-do activity for yourself seven days-a-week. Do we have a deal? So don't forget to dial my number and get your workouts in...everyday!Hello. Yes, this is 777-7777. How can I help you?Love,
