Guest guest
ROLL ME A 6! Tuesday, 01 June 2010 That's what a lot of gamblers yell when they're playing craps. See, 6 is a lucky number for those gamblers. Now, (in case you're wondering), the reason I'm talking about the number 6 is because today we enter the sixth month of 2010. And when the month of June comes to an end in 30 days, you'll have another 6 in your life. Yep, six months of this year will be over, that's half the year 2010. And then you'll have just six months left until 2011 rolls around. (A lot of sixes to think about today, huh?)I want this sixth month of the year to be a lucky and productive one for you. Today you should take a few minutes to review the last five months of this year. So, how'd you do the first five months of 2010? Do you feel better today than you did on January 1st? Do you feel happier than you did on January 1st? Do you weigh less today than you did on January 1st? Hey, when it comes to weight-loss, five months is a long time. I'm sure you've gotten a lot of things done in the last five months but did one of those things include taking better care of yourself? Did you stay consistent on your weight-loss program? Did you plan your meals and really make the healthiest food choices during the past five months? Did you get your workouts in on a regular basis? If the answer to any of these questions are no...I know why you didn't keep your end of the bargain. It's because your head just wasn't into it. After all, your weight-loss victory begins in your head. Before the biceps form in your arms, they "form" in your brain. Before proper eating can be planned, that plan has to me made in your brain. And for everything to come together for you, it all depends on what kind of mood your brain is in. I can bet that over the past five months, you've had some emotional ups-and-downs. Maybe you were stressed out. Maybe you've had problems at home with a spouse or a child. Maybe you're lonely or bored about your life and the direction in which it's going. Or you could be numb because life in general has just been so tough for you lately. And when you don't feel good in your brain, you're unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's when your brain says to you..."Wait a minute! You're not exercising. You're not eating healthy. What's up with you? Let's get back on track together!" That's when you wake up and regain your determination. I'm sorry if you've been through a lot over the past five months. Hey, I've been through a lot, too. We're all on the same page when it comes to facing the tough moments in our lives. But let's forget about our pasts and focus on the now...today, June 1st!You and your brain should "have a little talk" today and come up with a realistic plan for yourself. And once you decide on that plan, start it...today! You know what you should be eating and how much. You know how important it is to get in your exercise and that you've got to make sweatin' a daily part of your life. So get out there on this first day of June, with a smile on your face, a twinkle in your eye and get ready to...roll yourself a 6!Love,
