This evening, I decided to put on my wedding dress. Here is my wedding picture which was in Jan, 2004 and I was about 298: The top part of the dress was really tight. I could barely get into it. Tonight, I could slip the dress on without unzipping it. I think I lost my bottom! I was really happy to see and feel the difference between then and now. Since I had fixed my hair and put on makeup, I decided to go ahead and take some pictures to see where I am at. A year ago, I was so miserable, I could hardly move: today: Today I feel like dancing! --

lol....you read my devious mind, Dacia! Actually, I kept our mobile Internet here at home and he won't have it until mid August. But I sent him the pictures by email, so he'll see them then.

I also found a box of sexy bra's and undies and nighties, which I was shocked that most of them fit! I played around last night, trying them on and even took a couple of pictures. I even had a few laughs over how awful some of it looked on this obese body. He's never seen any of this stuff, it was all from many years ago when I tried fat acceptance and try to be sexy at the same time. Never worked for me (apple shape looks awful in sexy attire!) so I put them all in a box, but never could quite bring myself to throw them away. I can't believe I have a red velvet "Santa" nighty complete with white boa across the top....and the rest is sheer red. *blush* what was I thinking? I laughed to think of putting that on at Christmas and seeing what he would think. Alas, I will hopefully be much thinner by then and it would be too big.

I don't know yet, I *may* send a picture of me in the pretty red satin robe with the black and red push up bra. I wonder what he would think? Isn't that pretty sad that I have no idea if my husband likes that sort of thing? He tends to be a "natural" kind of guy, hiking, nature, parks, historical stuff. I thought that once I was a bit lower in weight and a little more confident, I would try it. It would be awful if he broke out laughing. So that is why I don't know if I ought to send the photo. It's not terribly racy or anything, just that he's never seen me like that. He's not even used to seeing me in makeup....even though there was a time I would have never stepped outside without makeup, hair styled, heels and pressed clothes. I'd like to find a nice balance between my comfy cotton clothes and looking nice. What is so weird, is that he really hasn't ever seen me at my best, so it is like living in two different worlds, the way I use to be and the Natural me now. Not sure I want to go back to that old me, maybe I would look foolish at this age.

Those bra's are an eye opener. I had gotten so uncomfortable in underwire bras at my heaviest, that I switched to sports type, that smoosh one in so much. Last night, I realized how much more comfortable the underwires are now and how they give me back a more realistic shape than smooshed. Lol.

I am glad I played dress up last night, it really helped me gain perspective about where I am at and where I want to go with it all.
