Guest guest
SIDE BY SIDE Thursday, 18 March 2010 Every week, I receive such great e-mails from people who've lost weight. They tell me about their struggles losing weight. And hey, I can certainly relate to a lot of their struggles. They tell me how many times they've been on diets and all of the crazy things they've done to lose weight in the past. (And I can relate to those too!) They also tell me about their epiphany moments. That is, those moments where the bright light shines down on them from Heaven. It was the day they threw away the cookies. It was that day when they really began to believe in themselves! These successful people tell me about their clothes, how they slowly witnessed their bodies shrinking into smaller and smaller sizes...and how good it felt! They tell me about the compliments they receive and how their weight loss has given them so much more confidence in every area of their lives. They also tell me how proud their families are of them. And in their e-mails, they include their before and after pictures...side by side. Let me, uh, "paint the picture" for you. See, there's a picture of "" on the left, weighing 231 pounds. And then to the right, there's a picture of weighing 150 pounds! (Oh, I just love that!) You really have to look at their before and after photos...side by side. See, that way, you can really see the amazing physical changes in their bodies. What I notice first is the shape of a person's face. Did you know the face is one of the first places your weight loss shows up? Then you see it in their necks and in the size of their upper arms. What's especially amazing is seeing the changes in their waistlines. In the before photo, there's not much of a waistline at all. But in the after shot, that svelte hourglass figure begins to appear. You can really see a difference in the legs, too. Hey, it's unbelievable what gets hidden beneath all that fettuccini alfredo! Another thing I've noticed is that in the before photos people send me, you don't see them smiling in those shots very much. But in the after pictures? Well, what can I say? It looks like their entire body is smiling! Do you have some good before pictures of yourself? If you do, put one of them on the refrigerator where you can see it everyday. Then, every month, take a new photo of yourself and place it next to the before shot. I want them to always be side-by-side. That way, you'll be able to see the results of your hard work from month to month. It'll help you stay inspired to keep fighting.I know you want to see all of the results I've talked about today for your own body. Well, if you stay focused and keep fighting, you will see your weight-loss dream come true. Then, I'll be waiting for those before and after photos of you...side by side!Love,
