COME ON...ONE MORE TRY!

I'm taking a stack of e-mails with me for my flight over to Detroit this

morning. I have a little red folder that I keep all of my e-mails in

and, I've got to tell you, that folders is very sacred to me. I bring

the longest e-mails with me. I'm talking about the ones that are 3-4

pages long.

In their e-mails, the people who write really pour their hearts and

souls into those letters. They tell me about their childhoods and their

teenage years all the way up to their present lives. Their e-mails are

often heart wrenching and you know me, the floodgates of my eyes open up

as I read them. Sometimes, one of the flight attendants comes over,

asks if I'm okay and hands me one of those little packets of Kleenex.

The people who write me have been through a lot. And in their e-mails,

they tell me how many times they've tried to lose weight. I discover

from reading their letters that they often feel defeated and have

soured on the whole weight-loss drama that has consumed their lives.

They tell me they don't care anymore. Some of them even tell me they're

so sick of their weight that they just want to die...so they don't have

to deal with it all anymore. And you know what I say to them? Well,

I'm wearing my little cheerleader outfit and tell them... " Come on, one

more try! "

My goodness, let me think about how many times I've tried to lose weight

in my own lifetime! Wait, give me a minute and I'll tell you. No,

maybe if you can spare more like half-an-hour. LOL!

But seriously, I'd have to say that during my years here on this earth,

I've tried to lose weight thousands of times! (And how about you?) But

if I'd quit trying a long ago, I would have never have become a

" Cinderfella. " But I am one now and...I'm proud of it.

Now, I want you to do yourself a favor today. I want you to start. I

want you to give losing this weight one more try! Because, this time,

there's a possibility something will click in your brain and you'll keep

going strong, day after day, all the way to your goal.

Right now, as you read this message, I want you to do some serious

soul-searching. I want you to have a little talk with yourself. I want

you to think about what really worked for you when you were staying on

program. And I know what your answer is already.

When you reduced your portions of food and were working out

consistently, you saw the numbers going down on your bathroom scale.

(Some people keep their scales in the kitchen but I could never weigh-in

with all of that food watching me!)

Today...try! Plan your meals in your head before they end up in your

stomach. And make sure you do something physically active today like

going for a walk, working out at a gym or join me for a workout in your

living room with one of my DVDs. And just think about how good you're

going to feel tonight knowing that you're back on track!

Now let me repeat that sentence one more time for you...Plan your meals

in your head before they end up in your stomach.

No more quitting...it's not fitting. Keep trying just like I

do...everyday!
