YOUR MEDICAL REPORT

Thursday, 28 January 2010

I don't watch a lot of television. But when I do watch, I notice there're always lots of commercials for all kinds of medications. Oh, there're medicines for blood pressure, high cholesterol, any heart problems a person may have and allergies. There're even pills to help you quit smoking!

I'm aware of a lot of these medical problems because so many people write me about the medical issues they face everyday. They begin by telling me that they never used to have to take any medications at all. But now they have a medicine cabinet full of pills they have to take everyday of their lives. And the majority of people who write about their medical problems also tell me that they have problems with their weight. It's like, their cholesterol was fine...until they gained weight. Their blood pressure was normal...until they gained weight. Their hearts ticked perfectly...until they gained weight. And many of the people who write tell me they can't exercise anymore because of their medical problems. My heart truly goes out those who write facing these medical issues. And to add to those issues, many of them also suffer from depression. Those medical problems and the medicines they have to take everyday as a result places them in a real Catch-22 position. The older these individuals get, they often end up having to take even more medications.

Taking all of those pills, in time, really takes a toll on their bodies because of the side-effects many of the medicines have. Now, I'm not a doctor and you know that. (Okay, maybe the "Doctor of Sweat"!) But I don't have to be a doctor to tell you that if you begin losing weight and loving your body more, you may very possibly be able to go off some of those medications or have the dosages you have to take decreased. And I don't have to be a psychiatrist to tell you that when you lose weight and feel better about yourself, you're not going to be so depressed all the time.

But only you can break this cycle with your medications. Many doctors have a nutritionist on staff who can help patients figure out what to eat and what not to eat with their medical conditions. You'd be surprised at how many nutritionists get my FoodMover to help teach those patients what and how much to eat.And I promise you, they're going to tell you the same things I've been telling you all of these years. Watch your sugar, watch your starches and watch your fat intake.

And oh how great your body is going to feel when you're not taking all of those pills! Not only that but you'll save money because you don't have to buy so much medication anymore. Then, maybe you'll help others accomplish what you have and wouldn't that be nice? Hey, that's exactly what I did. I took better care of myself so I could help others better their lives.

Now, please get to work making your medical report...a good one!Love,
