MOVING IN THE MORNING!

"So, ...where do you get all of your energy?" Oh, I'm telling you, people have been asking me that question for years! And here's my answer to them and to you...I move this body of mine in the morning. I mean I move my body physically and mentally. Okay, here's how my days begin...

My eyes open up around 4 to 4:30AM. And of course, it's still dark outside. (The roosters haven't even begun crowing yet!) The first thing I do is stretch my body right there in bed. I put my hands over my head and lift one side of my body at a time like I'm climbing rope while lying down. Next, I put both my knees on one side of the bed, turn to the other side then repeat that movement with the opposite side of my body.I flex and point my toes and do circles with my ankles. Next, I straighten and bend my legs until it feels like they're ready to perform. Then I get out of bed to stretch my neck, shoulders, and everything below.

I clean up my bedroom while listening to music. Hey, I even exercise in the bathtub...splish, splash! After that, I'm mentally ready to begin my day.

In my mind, I begin by going over what I did yesterday then going over the things I have to get done today. I also count my blessings and say some positive and nice things to myself. And by then, I'm all revved up and ready to go!

You would probably be shocked at just how much I get done in the morning. I'm telling you, I'm the "High Priest" of time management. I work all day long with the energy I mustered up first thing that morning. And let's just say, when it's time to go to bed...I am tired. But it's a good kind of tired and I'm ready to rest my weary bones. The next morning, I'm ready to begin that same energy-giving routine of mine...all over again!Look, your body and mind need to be awakened right away after your eyes open in the morning. A lot of people simply roll out of bed, get themselves together and head out the door for work, school or for whatever else they have to do that day. I believe my plan is better. So tomorrow morning, after you wake up, do your body stretches and get your mind going in a positive direction right away. Do like I do first thing in the morning, get that body and mind of yours...moving!Love,
