Guest guest
VOICES Wednesday, 03 February 2010 Our Creator blessed many people with the talent of singing. I mean, some people are just born with the gift of song. That's why I put on music all day long, so I get to hears lots of different voices sharing their gifts of song with me. Oh, I was glued to the screen as I watched the Grammys earlier this week. I'm telling you, I knew every group and every singer performing last Sunday night. As a matter of fact, I even knew by heart the lyrics to many of the songs that were performed. Okay, where shall I start?I have to start with my Lady Gaga. I'm all jazzed when I hear her voice and see her perform. I also love Elton 's voice, too and he performed a song with my Lady Gaga during the awards show. Now let's talk about Beyonce. The minute she popped on the music scene with her first CD, I just about ran to the store to buy it! She has so many styles of singing. And I love watching her perform If I Were a Boy. I'm also a huge fan of Pink. Did you watch her hang from that cloth, spinning in the air before allowing her body to be doused in that pool? All I can say is...WOW! I'm telling you, the lady's a gymnast! She reminded me of one the dolphins at Sea World with her incredible act. Her performance just blew me away! Bocelli, (another one of my favorite singers), and J. Blidge performed a a duet singing Bridge Over Troubled Waters in honor of those victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti only a few weeks ago.The most emotional moment of the evening for me was when 's son and daughter took the stage to speak in honor of their father. Oh, I was just a mess by then. 's voice was a brilliant one for the ages and it's a loss for all of us that he is no longer with us.I'm telling you, voices do something for me. They uplift me, some songs make me cry while others lullaby me off to sleep. I don't know what our world would be like without these beautiful voices. To me, they're kind of like "God's bells." A large group of singers will soon be remaking that now legendary hit, We Are The World to help raise money for the rebuilding effort in Haiti. They're supposed to lay down the track over the next few days so we'll soon be hearing all of those magnificent voices singing this great song to raise money for a great cause.I wonder...which voices move you? Let the voices continue.Love, http://www.richardsimmons.com/j15/index.php?option=com_dailymessage & Itemid=
