Guest guest
"When you don't set goals, you deny yourself opportunities to succeed and celebrate." - Ali , "Believe It, Be It" "How much weight do you want to lose??" - Dr. S to at appointment yesterday. I told him 60-80 lbs. I didn't really know. We discussed my weight history (and my "diet" history) and the weight ranges I thought I wanted to aim for to pull the 60-80 lbs out of my head. Before, someone has always told me how much I should weigh. WW sets the ranges for lifetime/goal. To change that, you need a doctor's note. So, my "old doctor" set my goal to get to a certain point/weight. Of course, that is by "the BMI etc charts out there"... Well. Now no one was going to tell me or set it for me yesterday. My goal weight: 210 lbs Sure, that may be too high still if you ask "them" (the people that make the charts), but it's a heckuva lot healthier than 310 lbs was. I will lose 100 lbs. I will weigh 210 lbs. At that point, I will reassess and decide if I want to go lower. The time limit I am setting mentally reflects DS17's high school graduation May 2011 as that has always been the time range I set in my heart to be healthy [part is to have him a tiny bit proud of his mom at the events too]. That's "only" 60 lbs to lose, really.... if I follow the 5 lbs per month weight loss goal, that is 12 months. I am no longer obsessed with getting to ONEDERLAND. I feel free. in WA 310 / 270.8 /
