Guest guest
I got this in todays email from Roche http://noexcusesworkouts.com I thought it was worth thinking about. fireangel Avoid an All-Or-Nothing Approach to Fitness We live in an all-or-nothing society. Many of us will stay consistent with our workouts and/or eating habits and then give up just because we missed a workout or ate a whole pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. I want you to think about whether this is how you approach your fitness and/or weight loss journey. Honestly, please think about it for a minute. Is this you? If it is, I want you to start taking it one step at a time and bounce back from minor set-backs. Missing a workout or eating poorly for a meal is not going to kill you, so look at it like a speed bump and not a road block. We all have off days or off weeks. The key is how you respond to them and whether you quit or get off the ground and keep fighting. Another problem is when you bag workouts because you either can't get to the gym or you " only " have 15 or 20 minutes. Pease re-define what a workout is. My definition of a workout is anything that gets your heart rate up and/or works your muscles more than sitting down. And even 5 minutes is great, so ditch the " it is only a workout if I do X amount of time " approach and I know you will be impressed with what this does for your results.
