Guest guest
I am tempted to buy one as well. I have a question. Does the balance board have to be on a hard floor or can I set it on a carpet surface? I heard you need batteries for it too. What size and how many batteries? Thanks Jelayne On Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 9:32 AM, Dacia <dereinke@...> wrote: I am curious. Those of you who use Wii Fit (or Wii Fit Plus) Dacia <>< Jesus said, " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Guest guest
I use mine on a carpeted floor. There are special things included in the packaging for using on carpet floor. You will need batteries. I believe they are 4 AA batteries. Dacia<>< Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Guest guest
Thanks for that info on the capet and batteries. One last question. For those that do use a Wii FIT how long have you been using it? 2 OR 3 times a week for a month or two ? 4 to 6 months / 6 to 8 months or over a year? My husband promised me one, but if we are going to pay that much $ for something I want to make sure I keep on using it and not grow board with it in a few months. Guest guest
i use mine prolly  6 times a week....  even if just for a few mins and i've had mine since xmas One of the great things about the balance board is there's prolly 15 or more games that use it... so if you get bored or want more variety than JUST the wii fit plus workout... there's other options. Serena  I use mine on a carpeted floor. There are special things included in the packaging for using on carpet floor. You will need batteries. I believe they are 4 AA batteries.  Dacia <><  Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Guest guest
I use mine almost every day -- Monday thru Friday. My morning workout out consists of an 18-minute, 1-mile Walk Away the Pounds dvd; a Biggest Loser Wii workout and then followed up by a Wii Fit Plus workout. I am not bored with the workout regime that I have developed. There are times when I can't get all of it in -- and then I usually drop the Biggest Loser. The Wii Fit Plus workout seems like "play time" to me and it is my treat for doing my workout. Dacia<>< Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Guest guest
I have tried exersize videos in the past. I lose interest in them quickly. So far the treadmill is the one thing I have stuck with the longest. That is only because I watch tv while I walk. Part of me is hoping that combing video games (which I enjoy) with exersize will make me stick with it. The main reason I have not purchased a Wii Fit yet is the cost. Assuming I get a good tax refund, my husband has promised we will buy one. Guest guest
I have a small house. So I do all my indoor exersizing in the same room. I figure once I get it set up, I dont have to move it. I just have to actually use it. Guest guest
I think the key here is finding a video that you can at least semi enjoy AND that you feel/see results from using. I used Joyce Vedral videos for years and loved them, never had trouble getting myself up to do them 'cause I DID immediately see and feel the results. I got myself the WiiFitPlus program for my birthday in December. I did finally get is set up a couple of weeks ago, but have only been on it once 'cause it hurt to use. I fell on the ice in Dec and sprained an ankle, broke my tailbone and hurt my opposite hip, so even trying to use the balance games on the board hurt like the dickens. I AM however looking forward to being able to use it. I've only heard great things about it from both people online and here IRL, in fact my workout partner locally got herself and her Mom one a couple of weeks ago and they BOTH love theirs. Her kids do too! (4yo and 8yo boys) fireangel > > > >> > >> I use mine on a carpeted floor. Guest guest
I have a question about the wii fit balance board.. does it have a weight limit? Also I wanted to say that today I did the tennis for 10 minutes and boxing training for 10 minutes and you really get a pretty good work out with them.. and this is just on the cd that came with the game.. Guest guest
The balance board itself is built to work at 600 pounds, the problem is the games won't register and play unless you're under 330. You CAN however trick the game by placing the balance board on a folded blanket, it will then register your weight a good bit lower and let you play the game. The box says the weight limit is 330, but some people at 330-325 still need to use the blanket under it to make it work. fireangel > > > > I am curious. > > Those of you who use Wii Fit (or Wii Fit Plus) > > > > > > Dacia > > <>< > > > > > > Jesus said, " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
